I have been a littlewoods customer for 3 yrs now and never missed a payment on Saturday i celebrated my 50 th birthday flowers arrived from littlewoods direct wishing me a happy birthday i was thrilled , now i feel like sending them back i went online to view my statement and found id been hit with a late payment charge i was blazing .
I have been on the phone and they said the dates had been changed WHY if its isnt broke dont try to fix it i said , they said my next payment is due on the 19th of July i informed them that i dont get paid till the 23rd so can only pay on that date , their attitude was TUFF we want our money on the 19th , im disgusted with them and something should be done about this i for one will join any group that oppossses this scam ( coz that what it is ) if anyone want to send a joint letter to Watchdog over this please let me know .

Sorry to hear about your problem with LD. I would be happy to contact Watchdog, but the number of times I've contacted Watchdog about the problems I've had and nothing has come of it because you need at least 50 - 100+ people contacting them about the same problem for them to investigate it.

    Happy Birthday btw.

I have an account with Littlewoods & I certainly did not recieve notification of any changes.

How about we all write a letter to them stating that as soon as our current charges are paid we will be closing our account & giving the reason why?

Perhaps someone could cobble up a standard letter & we could copy & send it in. As it will be the same wording, they may start to get the idea.

believe me what you will get from littlewoods is a standard reply stating some nonsense, but it is worth a go,
my hubby is now in the position where the account is is serious dispute after writing a complaint letter to them, and sending in a cca request, so he has got to wait to hear what if anything they are prepared to do, but until then they are not getting paid,

I was on the phone today i got so upset that i asked them to speak to my husband they would not budge an inch , my hubby explained that i wasnt refusing to pay but i needed to pay on the day my wages go into my account which is 4 days after the day they want payment , the guy at littlewoods said no and i would be hit with a late payment bill of £12.00 The cheecky beggar also said ask your employer to pay you earlier then .
The customer service for good paying customers at littlewoods stinks IMO.

Littlewoods have been bad when your trying to get something out of them, but when you want to place an order or they ring you up with special items or sales, they are a totally different company.

I've only delt with Littlewoods now through Email and when I'm going to be late with my payment I've explained to them about the situation which to my surprise they've just stated "Thats fine sir, as long as you make a payment we will make a note of the payment will be late for this month" and I havent received a charge for late payment.

But I have noticed that my APR has gone up this month to 32.9% which is just wrong, but I guess they are trying to get some money back for sponsoring the trinny and suzannah show lol.

I just wish you could get in contact with all of Littlewoods / additions customers and tell everyone that if your not happy with the service and with them changing the date's and APR then please contact Watchdog. :rotfl:

    Hi All,

Littlewoods are not very helpful at all. I am only one month behind and have tried to arrange pro-rata payments but they are not interested and are referring the debt to a debt dollector.

The woman I spoke to said they would be applying interest of 39% on the debt, BLESS THEM!
