Don't know what the point was in putting up adverts with that date on in the first place - heard customer service giving out the head office number for complaints 4 times while I was there.
Have sent email to tescos be interesting to see what there response is - wonder if they have done a stock reply yet as I'm sure some other people reading this will have contacted them too.
BTW I got a completely different version of the 'aledged' coupon abuse from the cashier I spoke to than the one given out by the manager which mainly centred on the purchasing of gift cards and top ups....
Somebody is making it up as they are going along!
i think and i may be wrong, that the trouble with clowne tesco is that the majority of the staff use coupons which they are totally entitled to do,but i think there has been alot of back biting between staff as one of the cashiers told me, this may have brought the coupon issue to the attention of the new manager, i also know from one of the cashiers that i speak to that when the new manager started at clowne tesco he was informed by the chesterfield manager that clowne has a problem with coupons,so this has been in the pipeline for a while, i guess he has just been waiting for a good excuse to put a stop to it, chesterfield have clamped down too :rolleyes:dont wait for your boat to come in, get in a dingy and row out to it!!!0 -
Has any one used coupons in trowbridge, wiltshire please. manager told me he will only take 1 coupon if you have not bought the product? Can he do this? Does any one have the copy of the email from Head Office saying tesco will take coupons as long as they sell the product and its in date. Many thanks0

Store Managers can do this but did you speak to the Store Manager? More than likely you got a Duty Manager (there are usually several). In any case you can't force a store to follow the policy, but you can try asking why they are not following it.
Some stores don't know, and have had the same rules instore for years, this can sometimes be changed with the right approach from a customer. You could start at the CS desk, but don't 'ask what their coupon policy is' as this allows them to say anything. Ask politely (in 'disappointed customer' mode, not 'angry customer' mode!) 'why you were not allowed to use one of each different money off coupon in line with the national coupon policy'.
If the CS person denies all knowledge, ask if you could possibly speak to someone about it as you know the policy (say you have used it in more than one other Tesco and have seen the policy at their CS desk, or something like that - just don't say you saw it on t'internet... ). If you then get the same Duty Manager don't be embarrassed, just smile and say 'oh I have a little more time today than last time, I would like to find out please, why I was restricted to only one coupon last time...blah blah...).
HTH (but you may have an immovable store as regards coupon policy, at least you will have tried).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have tried using printed vouchers in asda and tescos and they both refuse me. What is the point of printable vouchers if I can't use them?
Please can someone show me where I can get some vouchers as I don't know of anywhere? Thankyou soooooooooo much :A0 -
Hi, my teso used to refuse printed ones aswell but after a quick call to CS was all sorted. CS rang the store and told them to accept them so they do nowWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0
