I noticed from the PTS forum that there is currently a glitch with the Tuborg £1 coupon - it's letting you print off as many copies as you like (as opposed to the usual 2). Just keep answering 'No it did not' and you'll hopefully be allowed to print again...and again....and again.....!

Please note that it doesn't appear to be working for everyone though.

Okay, I know this is a printable coupons but I just thought I should share this with you all. I have probably recieved more coupons via post than i have printable ones.

I emailed companies (Mars click here )
    (johnsons click here)
    (purina click here)
    (lovethe garden click here)

and simply email them asking if they send money off coupons by post? then leave your name and address.

I received 2 x £1 from Mars ( 1 for dolmio, 1 for uncle bens - ALONG WITH a HUGE file of recipes for both companies of them and some Dolmio minced beef bolognese sauce, dolmio penne pasta, and uncle bens long grain rice) :rotfl:

    I received 1 x £2 from johnsons

    I received 2 x £1 from love the garden

    I receieved 1 x £5 , 1 x 75p & 1 x £1 from Purina.

Thats £12.75 in MOC for 4 emails!!

Well worth it I think! :D

Thanks, I've just sent some emails as well, will see how I get on

I had problems with this one when I used Firefox, but when I tried it in Internet Explorer it worked fine. Don't know if that helps you at all?

Thanks but it is internet explorer I am using. I emailed them today and have had a reply apologising for the printing issue and advising that they are putting some in the post to me

  • Hi all

Just to let you know, we have all been informed that we are only allowed to accept one set of coupons from people who are splitting their shopping into 2 transactions. Quite a few people are putting their shopping into 2 or more transactions so that they can use multiple sets of the same coupons. Not sure if this is going to be a permanent thing or whether the management will change their minds next week (quite possible) but i will keep you all posted.

Went into Tesco Clowne tonight who are normally very coupon happy only to be told that they will not be accepting anymore MOC's unless you buy (gasp) the product from the 7th.
Tesco's Chesterfield and Worksop were already anti-coupon when I tried to spend money with them a few weeks ago.
I have discovered from the Manager of the Tesco Clowne store that the reason why coupons can only be used when the item is purchased is due to abuse by customers. Some customers are using coupons to buy all their shopping. But it doesn’t end there…...

An example was given whereby a woman bought £20 of shopping with coupons, took it to her car, came back into the store and did the same again and then attempted to repeat this a third time, but I believe she was refused.

This is a clear abuse and has ruined it for other customers. If the policy ever changes at the Clowne store, perhaps members could advise the forum.

£4 off a paperback book (Reading in Bed by Sue Gee). Makes it half price or less.

    http://f.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2008/07_01/sue_gee_voucher_405x620.gif

    Valid throughout July 2008.

Allows you to print as many as you can afford the ink for.

Early this morning on my way to work, I bought a few items from the Chesterfield Road Tesco store in Mansfield, and for the first time I used the self-scan machine. It accepted a 50p and a 40p coupon, but required approval for a £1.00 coupon, which I later received from a helpful S.A.

Does any one know if these machines are barred from accepting individual coupons of £1.00 and over? Or perhaps is there a coupon value acceptance limit up to a £1.00 and that why it only accepted 90p (40p+50p coupons)? Or, would the machine accept several coupons with denominations under a £1.00?, but exceeding a total value of £1.00?

hiya tony you are from my neck of the woods glad to hear mansfield are accepting coupons again, its abit of a shame about clowne though maybe they will have a change of heart too, the shelf scan tills are set to ask for authorisation on the 3rd coupon or usually are set to allow 30% off before authorisation, for example if you spent £9 and used a £3.50 coupon it would ask for authorisation after just one coupon, if you spent £9 and used smaller value coupons it would start shouting out after the 3rd one, this is what i have found and i have used quite a few in different stores,i tend to stay away from them these days though especially if you have alot of coupons much better to find a willing sa

How can this manager dare accuse any customer of "abuse".

There is only one abuse going on - that is the abuse of the coupon system by Tesco who are delighted to make the suppliers pay up for the coupons plus a profitable handling fee on every one that gets handed in.

Why should it be wrong to pay all your shopping, or make 3 trips because of an artificial ceiling. Would it be abuse to take your family in, have a trolley each and a fistful of dollars each?

Tesco don't really care - they just want our money - preferably in coupons which are more profitable for them than money! This manager hasn't quite grasped it yet.
