Hello,
With some of the coupons you can only print them once and it says print been reached.
On other ones you can print as many as you like so if you wanted to would you be able to use them on different shops if you just keep printing them off or should you just print them the once.
thanks

Just went to shopping at Tesco and been told by the SA that they only accept 10% of the MOCs. As I knew the policy so asked to speak with their store manager, one of the team leader went to me, and i asked if I can talk to their store manager, so she took me to the manager. And I asked the manager what is his personal coupons policy, and he said they only took 10% of the internet coupons (at the same time the team leader still staying with us and saying they been recived a lots of internet coupons in recentely and not happy with that etc.....). So that I shown the e-mail that I personally recieved from their HO about the coupon policy to the manager. And the team leader saw me print out the policy then said they have a new policy coming out, but hasn't reach to the store yet (Is she the manager?). I totally ignored her, but polite asked the manager's opinions. And he said as the policy had described that the internet print out coupons will only be accepted at the discretion of the store manager, and his discretion is 10% only. So in that case I thanked the manager and went out the shop. I dont know if anyone alse have the same problems? It seems all of my local shops accept 10% internet MOC only. Hasnt tried in Morrison yet. Did anyone has any idea about Morrison's policy?0

Apart from restricted coupons like on Couponnet, many other coupons can be printed in their dozens or more, ready to use one a day of each type of coupon, at Tesco. That's what I do anyway.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Oh that's a shame; Store managers in Tesco are able to use their discretion about internet printed coupons though so it seems you are stuck with the 10% on those then.
I bet cashiers would struggle with it though. If you handed over a mixed bundle of internet and normal glossy manufacturers' coupons, or some from a magazine mixed with internet ones it would take a while at the till wouldn't it!
Presumably in that store the cashier would be expected to sort out the internet ones, work out 10% (doh! not difficult but for some... ) then on top of that allow all your different non-internet coupons off the bill as well?
Seems a waste of man-hours to me and a sure way of holding up the queue but hey, I'm not the Manager so he obviously thinks it's a good plan!
And what about if you printed your internet ones on glossy paper, that would fool them into not noticing them among the magazine ones wouldn't it?
BTW, Morrisons DO NOT allow coupons unless you buy the products.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi All
Can I just say with regards to the 10% rule. The store I work in doesn't use the 10% rule and I think couponing is great (saves me a fortune) but please be aware that if a cashier is taking the wrong coupons either by percentage or people trying to pull a fast one (as some people do) the cashier is often taken into the office by their manager and given a telling off, sometimes ending in an official warning. Not trying to nag or moan but this is peoples jobs we are talking about.

Hi Tescototty
Thanks for the info. But I just wondered if you can tell us whether there is any way that the 'powers that be' can tell which coupons were handed over for which transaction? ie would the 10%-only stores really be able to suss out that in a few transactions MORE THAN 10% of internet coupons were handed over? Or would the percentage of internet coupons be looked at as a whole?
Sorry if that sounds a bit confusing. Thankfully my store is not restrictive with coupons at present, but I'd hate to think that cashiers ever got penalised because I was giving them too many internet coupons!
Thanks in advance for any info.

Hi Lori
The checkouts computer system is rather technical (hence always breaking down) Each person has to send up money and coupons from their own till with a printed form inside to say which till it is from and who the operator was. Copy receipts are kept on a huge system where things like this can be and are checked. Also working for T is like being on big brother, security and management can and do see what is being scanned through the tills, including coupons. Everything is computerised. I know one girl who got took into the office by accidently accepting 2 of the same coupon and was given a verbal warning. Sometimes when customers give you handfuls it's hard to keep track. The store I work for does not follow the 10% rule so you could pay for all your shopping with your coupons (as some do) so we don't have that problem but management are very keen on giving out warnings.0
