Does anyone know if Boots sells DVD lens cleaners (the kit to clean your players) or compressed air (that stuff in a can that blows air to clean dust out of electrical equipment)? I can't find any online (though compressed air may be the wrong search term). We need to get some today and I'd just as soon get points and a till spit for it! ;)

Edit: Forgot to ask: If Boots doesn't have compressed air for cleaning electronics, who would? And is that what it's called? It's that aerosol can with the little straw, kind of looks like WD40 but it blows air instead. I've searched online and can't find compressed air at any stores.

I too, would like to know the answer to this one! It`s a lot of money to spend,if hardly worn-do they look `odd` at all? had read somewhere that they can be quite big, & there`s no half sizes-so,as I`m a size 6, (or 5 1/2), do I need to get a 5? Any feedback would be much appreciated, thanks.

    Hi Skibster,

My local branch definitely sell DVD lens cleaners- they are next to the disposable cameras/frames/batteries. Can't remember for sure but I think they may have been on bogof  Worth checking anyway! May be worth a call to your local branch before you travel though as it may only be available in larger stores. Unless of course you want the excuse to go Bootsing anyway :p

    Hi Clare,

I feel so sorry for you over this palava with the TD hand cream- you don't seem to be having much luck with Bootsing recently
I had the exact same problem with the hand cream. In my local store, not only was there a red SEL saying "you can use your £5 voucher on this product", but also there was a separate stand of various TD/Olay/Loreal bits and pieces you could use the till spit on and the hand cream was on the stand!!!
I pointed this out to the SA who simply said it must have been put there by mistake as it was clearly not facial care. I suspect she knew it would go through with the voucher which is why she refused to even scan it even though I asked ever so nicely and then started pleading with her lol.
At the time I knew other people on here were getting the hand cream ok but I wasn't sure if this was an error on Boots's part- after all the voucher does clearly state "facial skincare". So I gave up and got wipes instead :o:rolleyes: which is a shame as I get through a lot more hand cream than I do wipes!
Clare, when you spoke to CS did they say they would contact the store you had problems with to advise them of their mistake? And also, did they definitely confirm the till spit can be used on the hand cream legitimately lolol I haven't got any till spits left now but if I know CS say its ok, I may try to find an unwanted spit laying about and have another try :rotfl:

So anyways if there are any Bootsers near to Oxford who have a stash of TD handcream that's getting out of control and would like to swap any for some TD wipes, please let me know!

I'm with you on the "getting jut a bit fed up with Boots" bit! Finally found a store with Time Delay Handcream in, and the S.A. wouldn't let me get it - "It's not facial" - wouldn't even try to scan the voucher (guess this explains why they had them left the shelf!) I had several to redeem and I know from you lot on here ( and from flashes on the SELs in other stores: "redeem your voucher on this product" ) that you can get handcream with the vouchers. Fuming. Won't get chance to spend the tillspits now - and bought stuff I didn't need in order to get them. So I guess "getting a bit fed up" doesn't actually quite cover it!

Threading is using a thin length of cotton, which is caight in their caught in teeth and fingers to trap each hair and pull it out. Less painful than tweezers and makes eyebrows look much more shaped that tweezers/wax.

I was amazed when I had mine done how fantastic it is. However, mine look like Brooke Shields eyebrows after 5 days so I have given up and have gone with the flow and not touched in 5 years. Probably shows too lol
