  • Dear Mr Boots

I know you read this thread so please can you do something about the empty shelves in most stores, you give us a voucher after we have parted with £5 of our hard earned cash but when it comes too exchanging our vouchers the shelves are empty, now that’s not playing the game is it.

Please will you inform all of your stores to order more stock so they can fill up the shelves on a daily basis, you never know it may even entice me to spend some more of my hard earned cash if I know there will be a chance of exchanging my voucher for something I want (my favourites are the wipes & hand cream).

Hope you didn’t mind me contacting you via this site but couldn’t find a stamp.

    Thank you very much
    Yours "Boots Addict No.326

a different colour for new glitches/discoveries. Like this !

If I found a glitch and had to work out how to post it in those rainbow colours *Jelly Tots* - the glitch would have been found and rectified before I'd even hit the send button :rotfl: ;)

This post summed up my thoughts exactly !
I think it would be worse keeping track of two threads. I think it would confuse newbies and it's easier keeping a one-stop-Boots-shop for everything. I find where topics are split into 2 or 3 threads (e.g. Tesco topics or Coupon topics) it's sometimes confusing and a bit off-putting. At least everyone knows where to go for Boots. I know sometimes peeps on here have their differences, but I find on the whole this thread is really entertaining. The only new thing I've seen suggested, which seems like it could work, is the person who suggested a different colour for new glitches/discoveries. Like this !

I know i'm probably one of the worst offenders for chit chat but I do try to contribute to the thread where I can by answering question when I possible can (I can't answer qustions that are company confidential for example), and I get a warm feeling inside to know that the antcis that have taken place over the past couple of weeks have at least cheered some people up.

At the end of the day, this is a strong community and you should all take great pride in the fact that you are trying to work out solutions between yourselves to serve the thread better. On most forums it would have simply turned into a riot and ended up having no value to the community in which it serves.

I for one like the idea of highlighting a new offer with the use of colours as then people that don't want to read the chat can simply scroll through looking out for anything highlighted. It doesn't necessarily have to be multi coloured like the example but as long it is highlighted in someway it should make things easier. Obviously, this will also make it easier for CPG to update the first page too.

now lets all have a group hug :grouphug: although, unlike the smilie, please keep your hands above waist height

Crash course: when you post a reply a menu opens with 2 rows of symbols just above the area where you write the message:
    - remove text formating
    - fonts
    -sizes
    - letter A with black beneath and a tiny arrow on the right hand side. This is the colours options. you just change the colour before you write, or write normally and then select the text you want to change the colour and pick a colour. It is like MS Word. The rainbow colours JellyTots has used (and I've copied) are just picking one colour per letter!!

Back to bootsing: yes it is very frustrating to that the shelves are already empty and so ahead of schedule. The stock normally lasts longer. As someone has mentioned, if they hadn't adverstised you could use it to get free stuff, there might still be some.

Reading bootsers: yesterday there were still lola rose MF boxes in the skincare at the oracle store. As I mentioned many many pages and perhaps 2 threads ago, one of the SA told me they were free with ANY purchase from the Olay range. We know they are free anyway, but this is a legit way to get it. And I cannot rave enough the rejuvenating cream wash!! There were still some definity GWP left as well. Too chicken to try them, though I know they go though free!!

Chatting/ No chatting/ etc discussion: Yes, I believe the colours would be really nice to make things easier. For example if one of you has a particularly interesting purchase in the middle of all the others, it could be highlighted to make it clearer to us what happened and why that is a nice glitch/ offer. I try to use bold for the topic of the paragraph so that people can just skip what does not interest them! Perhaps this is also a suggestion some of you might also find interesting.

AB_KW: you may be a newbie here, but you have already found the group-hug, which in the past has given us quite a few giggles given the innuendo in the animation :-) Loved your post by the way!!

edit: I started writing this before I read the previous posts and I have no idea why there is so much hostility in here or even what has happened in the past. I have only been here since Feb 2007. Everyone is free to have an opinion and please be nice to each other!!

I've been reading this thread for months and I honestly can't see the hostility you mention:confused: I don't get why peeps don't like it when others have a bit of a banter, I for one find it hysterical at times.
