Just got back from my first shop for a few weeks and have to say I was really disappointed as ACM had virtually nothing worth me printing out  !

I had no No7 vouchers, no free time delay, a load of rubbish tbh ! So, my shop basically involved me getting what I needed and that was it - will try ACM once more in another store next week but if I don't get some good offers soon, i'm going back to shopping with the 'competition' !!!

Seeings as no one has posted a shopping list for a while, I thought i'd jump in and post mine :D

    2 x No7 Sun Protection SPF 25 - £12.00 (b1g1f)
No7 Hand Saviour - £10.50 (shhhhhhhh don't tell hubby it cost that much  )
    No7 GWP

3 (:j ) x TD hand and nail lotion - £6.00 (reduced to £2 each but SEL didn't show reduction so just checked at the till)

Simple moisturiser - £3.28 (for DD)
Vaseline intensive care moisturiser - £2.49 (for DD)
No7 Perfect Tan Corrector Wipe - £0.20 (in reduced bit)

Total to pay £34.47 (saved £22.00) and used 200 pts wyb No7 tanning so they gave me 180 pts to take the reduced tan corrector wipe away ! Only had one otherwise i'd have cleared them out ! :p

Oh, got a till spit too :D

C'mon ladies .......... don't be shy ........ show us your shopping lists !

I haven't been to boots for a few weeks now, but my mum checked the ACM with my card.. And i had awful offers  Very unfair.. I have always thought they should just give the same offers to everyone (good offers, of course!).. like they should send the mailings to everyone aswell, as i have never had one even though i have had my card for years.. and some people get every single one..

Sorry about moaning, but it just annoys me

So if if it works on this bogof sun stuff does it also work on the mens on 3for2 I wonder?

I have my Tesco H&B head on for combining stuff at the moment so I was also wondering about doing a 'virtual' £40 spend to qualify for 2 GWPs :p

    HS £10.50 plus 350pts ACM
    2 x F25 face stuff £9.50 (till thinks £19) plus 200pts mag

    - then maybe makeup for circa £10.50 plus 250pts from GWP

    total to pay £30.50 - £5 PC

    = £25.50 and 800pts and 2 GWPs

But that's going on what I want (17 x Glossy Locks here from when it was dirt cheap on .com :o last year).

For example here's how to do it for less cash:

    GL x 4 @ £5.75 = 23.00
    Factor 25 face x 2 @ £9.50 = 19.00

    - Till thinks £42 to qualify for 2 GWPs

    less bogofs = 21.00

less £5 PC = £16 to pay (plus 200 pts mag;))

So you only spent £12 in all. ( 2 product & GWP )
Wonder if the £5 off No7 PC would kick in too.

I couldn't agree more with the sunscreen comments, I'd just thought about it with an anti-aging stance but pollsdolls, your story was shocking. Just thought I'd point out that not all sunscreen products with SPF ratings are protective against UVB and UVA rays. It's the UVB protection that gives it the SPF rating, as these are the rays which only penetrate the top skin layers and cause burning. However, the UA rays, which penetrate much deeper, cause tanning, but also skin cancer. I'm sure products just sold as sunscreens would protect against both, but other products with SPF ratings, e.g. moisturisers, foundations etc. sometimes leave out the UVA protection. (Benefit's You Rebel Lite, (but not You Rebel original) is an example).
So if you're relying on a moisturiser/foundation for sun protection, it's worth checking for these ingredients:
    UVA Protection
    • Avobenzone (aka Parasol 1789 or butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane) look for this used in conjunction with Octocrylene which increases its stability
    • Ecamsule (aka Mexoryl SX) this is a new sunscreen ingredient developed by l'oreal which is slightly more stable (i.e. doesn't break down as much or as quickly in the presence of UVA rays) than Avobenzone used alone
    • Oxybenzone
    Both UVA and UVB protection
    • Titanium dioxide
    • Zinc oxide
    UVB Protection
    • (Para-)Aminobenzoic acid (aka PABA) rarely used anymore because of its potential for irritation
    • Homosatate
    • Octinoxate (aka Octyl methoxycinnamate or OMCI)
    • Octisalate (aka Octyl salicylate)
    • Octocrylene
    • Padimate O (aka Octyldimthyl PABA)
    Hope this helps anyone :)
;) One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you! ;)

Let us know if that works, please! I bought two each of those yesterday AND hand saviour as I wanted have enough for the free gift. If those alone will do it, perhaps the BOGOF spf50 face protection would garner a gift, too.
