lol no dont worry:rotfl: On your post it looks like £7.50 each:o At slough they were £7.49 last time i went, bet they've been reduced and all gone by the time i get back there:rotfl:
    p.s £7.50 for 3, well done:T

I'd check those out msmoo, as they were on the SEL at £3.75 in the main Boots locally, and then went through at 342. They had them priced up in another local store at the full price of £14, but I didn't have time to get them price-checked.

Off now, so hope you all have a good Bootsing day (or weekend) :) x

Because myself and Rubes don't post our shopping lists up for a few hours or more, I wouldn't class either of us as "lurkers", which is what appears to be implied in your post.
Nope...simply said "I would not keep to myself if I found anything interesting as otherwise that is surely just being the same as a 'lurker'?" Never said either of you were lurkers! I was saying that not sharing is the same as being a lurker!

On the subject of lurkers... I'm pretty much a lurker but I do contribute occasionally when I have something to add that genuinely hasn't been said before - but as for lurkers 'contributing nothing and grabbing all the bargains' well, perhaps it's just that they don't have the time to post (this thread's fast enough to keep up with even when you don't post!) or perhaps if they did post, it'd just be the same as what others have already said.

In the 'too much chat' discussions it was mentioned that there were getting to be too many shopping lists, I think someone said "we know you can get a pack of wipes free with the till spit, you don't need to post about it every time" or something. While I do like to read shopping lists, I definitely don't think people should feel bad about not 'contributing' when, through one poster and another, people are already aware of voucher combinations/bargains etc. that they've bought.

People don't have more 'right' to the bargains whether they've posted or not, just in the same way that people who live in some areas have more 'right' to a big clearance section - that's just the way boots works. If you can't find the bargains in your local that some have posted about, well, it may be frustrating but it's not the end of the world.

Now if someone discovers a glitch that's different, but I can see no reason not to share it, apart from perhaps lack of time, as presumably you would have got your fill of the glitch products before posting about it.

Now some people's greed has been mentioned, like the shelves at hull being stripped bare, and that's obviously a seperate issue, because if someone clears the shelves of something just because it's cheap and don't really want it that much, well, that's greed whether they're a lurker or have 1000 posts.

I know some people work hard to inform others of glitches, and keep this thread up to date like crazyposhgal and week and for that I truely thank them (and I use the thanks button) and I feel like that's a way of 'contributing' without repeating things that have already been said.

Sorry about the long post, I'm ready to get flamed but that's just my 2(00 lol) cents.
N.B. by the way, I think it's horrible to ask for vouchers and not say thank you, I've always been so grateful to people who've helped me (sally06 :D vanda2 :D and dotchas :D and said thank you, of course, so don't think I agree with that kind of lurker :D)
;) One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you! ;)

Now here's the bit where I nag about sunscreens..... Please don't rely on serum alone to protect your skin from ageing, the most damage to skin is done by the sun, even in the winter, so we should always use a moisturiser containing sunscreen over the serum. Especially in the summer months but also in the winter.

*geordie_lass knocked off soapbox by thought of DD saying, "yes mum, we already know that"* Sorry all, I'm a mum, I can't help but nag and point out the obvious :rotfl: :D

So glad you said this geordie lass. I could not agree more. We have a very poor record in this country of wearing sunscreens, but hopefully with edcation that will improve.

I have never been on a sunbed, I dont sit in the sun, as I much prefer the shade. Neither have I ever lain sunbathing on the beach or around the pool.

Yet I developed skin cancer.:confused:

Caused by a case of sunburn some 20 odd years ago when the Pope was visiting my home town. I stood for some hours waiting to see him and caught the sun down one side of my face.

That day (combined with my colouring, fair skin, blue eyes,) was enough to cause the cancer to develop. Resulting in surgery and plastic surgery. My surgeon blamed the Pope for my cancer.  Most skin cancers are slow growing, so it is easy to get a false sense of security.

I wear factor 50 or 60 (dependant on brand) and still dont sit in the sun, but I must admit I had a hard time convincing the doctors of this. As tanning is seen as the norm.

I worry when I see people with their beautiful babies/ toddlers exposed to the sun.

Stay pale and beautiful, stay pale and safe.:A

Re: the lack of Vitamin E (tocopherol) in the scar serum, most moisturisers contain this ingredient so if you are wearing moisturiser over the serum then you'll get your daily dose I'm sure. :D
There are some online medical studies (check Google) that conclude there's no benefit from topically applied Vit E.

I've even seen one that states it can actually cause dermatitis.

Of course, there are other studies that positively rave about it.

I'm loving the look of this list thanks to bunbun :T

In light of the sun damages warnings it's a factor 50 - on reapplying every couple of hours - maybe it's more for hols when you don't wear makeup in the daytime ;)

passion8...We could all say the same about our local stores eh?

I noticed in a house about 5 doors away there was in the recycling about 20 boots mags...so no doubt a 'lurker', who yes will no doubt clear guildford of any offers etc, but I would not keep to myself if I found anything interesting as otherwise that is surely just being the same as a 'lurker'?
That doesn't necessarily mean that the person who cleared your local is an MSE lurker. They could be from one of the other money saving sites. Or even Boots staff! (The staff in my local act like locusts sometimes!)

I could not care if they were a lurker...I was for years!
If it is there you get it, if it is not-ah pants eh, show me the next glitch!
    Good for them!

I was just saying that lurkers would not stop me sharing anything on here, as that was raised.

Fair play to those who catch the glitches and heaving clearance shelves eh!
