  • Gosh does sound like you have had a rollercoaster of a couple of days Miz. It probably did you good to let it all out. sorry to hear about the work medical...absolute shocker when you are told stuff you don't want to hear, i know i started to lose weight when i had to have an op and my BMI was too high for the local hospital. The consultant was great to me though and said everything else was ok and not to worry too much, my weight problems would be better after and they were..The other thing i always find surreal is that i still feel the same inside, but the body is getting older and we have to look after ourselves. Sounds like you have made a good start already. X

Mizmir, ever since I saw your post at 1pm, I've been racking my brains to think of what it reminded me of, and I have it now: its that famous Stephen Covey book, the 7 habits of highly successful people. There's a grid in it, more or less as follows:

    Top Left: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Top Right:
    Important and Urgent . . . . . . . .Important and Not Urgent
eg some client meetings, . . . . . .eg weekend with friends, planning
    tax bill. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . meetings

    Bottom Left: . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Bottom Right
Urgent and Not Important. . . . . .Not Urgent and Not Important
eg somephone calls, emails. . . . .computer games, watching tv

I had to put the dots in to make the spaces. I love the idea of differentiating between "Urgent" and "important", thats really helpful to me.

confession time i just sold this book on amazon and hadnt read it all i found i didnt have time lol ...how bad am i

Yeah - I'm like that too. Don't mind so much at home (OH is used to it!) but I have to get a grip at work. But it feels like just a physiological reaction - it happens and I can't stop it. :(

Anyway - I should think about going to bed - could be partly just being tired. Take care.
