Mizmir, ever since I saw your post at 1pm, I've been racking my brains to think of what it reminded me of, and I have it now: its that famous Stephen Covey book, the 7 habits of highly successful people. There's a grid in it, more or less as follows:
Top Left: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Top Right:
Important and Urgent . . . . . . . .Important and Not Urgent
eg some client meetings, . . . . . .eg weekend with friends, planning
tax bill. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . meetings
Bottom Left: . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Bottom Right
Urgent and Not Important. . . . . .Not Urgent and Not Important
eg somephone calls, emails. . . . .computer games, watching tv
I had to put the dots in to make the spaces. I love the idea of differentiating between "Urgent" and "important", thats really helpful to me.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thanks karma. Suspect my problem is I tend to do the not urgent, not important things first! :rotfl:Will try using that grid! :A0

Yes, the not-urgent, not-important things are *so* much more interesting2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Wonder where browsing DFW comes on the grid??
Morning all. Looking good so far. Profit from my matched bet ended in BF so have withdrawn a lump from there and am going to colour another square....
Just saying to Karma that I need to keep up the hypno list tradition - keeps focus.
So here goes:- [strike]Make a list[/strike] DONE!
- [strike]Transfer winnings from BF[/strike] DONE!
- [STRIKE]Pay £50 off BC[/STRIKE] DONE - another square
- [STRIKE]Update snowball, grid, sig and anything else that gives me a warm feeling of satisfaction....[/STRIKE] DONE - love doing that
- [STRIKE]Check online banking[/STRIKE] DONE - sadly my o/d hasn't been miraculously cleared overnight...
- Make packed lunch
- Clean kitchen
- Do "one thing a day" on each project
- Look at work to do list and prioritise
- Have health check at work
- Go to meeting
- Clean lounge and hall (someone coming to stay at weekend )
- Update chorewars - be afraid be very afraid.....

Just been thinking about how to make use of the grid karma posted for time management and found a version of it with some very useful additions:
- important and urgent: firefighting
- important and not urgent: quality time
- not important and urgent: distraction
- not important and not urgent: timewasting

 I am way behind and keep forgetting to go and update chorewars! Bob wanders off muttering to herself..i know can get locked up for that!:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0
