Well I am back on the MB wagon! Have got my canbet bonus (still to play through) and just done my SB qualifier so as well as the vernon thing am having a good start to September.

Dragon - have a training workshop planned later in the month - filling up - and likely some individual training. So am aiming at £300 from DT in September.

What a busy busy day for you today.I think your new revised plans are fantastic.Good luck with MBing..still way above my head..lol....sorry about MBNA but I always thought a LOB card is for life of the debt!!!..so don't understand why they put it up to 15%...ignore anyone that thinks you're wacky as it's your life and you can do what you feel happy about..I think it's a great idea.

    Hi Mizmir!

Wow, you have been busy - well done on sorting the mbna barstewards so quickly, and your new plan, which sounds great. I'm sure thats why many self employed plans fail, because they don't set it up carefully enough. The dog training sounds absolutely wonderful, and you know its for you by your own reaction.

My own experience with self employment was gradual - I sort of contracted to the people where I did my training, got all my clients from them. I did a horrible admin job for a long time at the same time, and also rented out two rooms in my house to lodgers (I was a lot younger then, it was okay, tho not great). Then, when I went fully self employed, I already had some clients, but I also had quite a few clients lined up as well - and even tho the job I originally left was fairly high up in charity management, I always knew it was the right thing to do. There's no point assessing what makes you happy in terms of what other people think, none at all.

I was thinking of you just now - I chanced on the re-run of that Martin Clunes programme about the origin of dogs, and since I'm out tonight I'm taping the second one. What did you think of it? It seemed fantastic to me, but I'm not really a dog person, tho people who see me with them think I am, cos I love them..... okay, I'll shut up now. What didja think? :)

Thanks karma - yes I am trying that softly softly approach too - I need to address the boring stuff like pensions and what I do if I am sick. All very well with a job with a good employer contributed pension and 6 months sickness on full pay. Different matter if all down to me. So I am taking the slow route so I can be sure I have it all covered.

I enjoyed the Martin Clunes programme - thanks for the reminder it is on tonight again! He is obviously soppy about dogs and I like that :o. Not entirely convinced by the whole wolf thing - of course dogs and wolves are genetically close but they are in fact behaviourally quite different - similar in many ways to us and chimps!
So I take the whole dog is like a tame wolf with a pinch of salt! (there is a great book by Ray Coppinger which sets out an alternative theory which makes more sense to me). But love wolf watching - fantastic creatures - and dog watching - so not too bothered if I disagree with some points. The dingo on the piano was a scream! :rotfl:

It was great, wasn't it! I'd never watch a celebrity thing, but I was taping Out of Africa and it just kept going, I'm really glad now. Loved the dingo. Loved his soppiness!

Just realised I have to pay £55 a day off my debts (including min payments and overpayments) to make my September 09 DFD target! Now I realise that is small compared to hypno's quite terrifying daily target but it is still quite scary. But I have set it up as a personal challenge - and will maintain a spreadsheet and my sig. to see how I am going - as well as (hopefully) colouring a square every day - with an extra one every 10th!

Oh no  you've got me going now :rotfl: Aim is £6500 by end of this year, £1300 already found, remainder is pennies under £43.50 a day! Nooooo! I was so happy with colouring in my squares that represent £50 each, and now its got to be almost one a day!   What am I going to do???? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
