quidco - what a shambles

Hi all,
At Martin's request I got in touch with Quidco and asked them to respond to the issues in the initial post. Obviously Quidco is mentioned in our article and we want any problems to be sorted out. We will also be starting a new Quidco problems thread so we can properly assess the issues people are having. (I will post the link here and in the thread in the referrers board).
Re the original post, Quidco has said it can look into your account - either PM me your details or post your ticket communication and it will respond.
Hope this helps.0 -
stop moaning I look at quidco as a bonus like when i take out my house or car insurance I make sure the quotes are good just incase quido doesnt pay out .
I've been with quidco for just over 2 years and my earnings are over £1000 so I'm happy0 -

I've stopped using Quidco. Yes items do usually track and pay out eventually, but not without submitting enquiries and regular chasing up.
Nowadays I only use rpoints - they may not be the highest payers, but they do have a cashback matching policy, which I have claimed on a few times. More importantly transactions go through smoothly and I have only once had to make an enquiry, which was dealt with promptly and paid out quickly.
TBH I can't be doing with the hassle of using QuidcoI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

Perhaps i would feel the same if Quidco hadnt received over £170 before the end of April but they decided to withold while they queerie an old already paid out transaction from months and months ago. Perhaps if I didnt have a validated transaction of another £75 that has been validated for 13 months id feel the same.
The fact that some people have queeries that get unanswered for months and months and over a year in some cases irritates me I feel justifies a moan.
More annoyingly is the amount of money that is made in interest from the 'earnings' that sit in Quidco's bank - just look at the amount they paid out in December.
This company IS making money from us, not just us from them, surely this in itself deserves us the right to be able to 'moan' since we have no 'rights' whatsoever to complain or challenge them.
We have absolutely no recourse whatsoever with whatever their rules and decisions are. They can keep money, they can pay the money, it's up to them.
We have absolutely no rights when it comes to being enticed by what seems like a good deal, for example we may get insurance that is a little higher for the enticement of a decent cashback. Bump, it doesnt pay out. Tough. It's as simple as that at times and theres nothing we can do.
But this is a consumer vent board, and some of us want to have a vent. It's all we can do.0 -
I can't say as i'm overly impressed with them at the moment. I have had four transactions with them, one has tracked and the other three haven't. I have submitted queries but it seems more effort then its worth.0

I've been using Quidco since not long after they set up. I remember when they first set up and were mentioned on these boards. I cautioned people about this new type of cashback site that paid 100% and wasn't sure of how genuine the site was at that time (when Quidco set up, 100% cashback sites were unheard of). It wasn't until their first round of payouts (I was very sceptical up until then) that I realised they were genuine. I'm happy to say that since my first doubts, they have been excellent for me and many others.
Rather than moaning about them, we should all appreciate Quidco for introducing this 100% cashback culture that we see other sites offering now (they have to if they want to be competitive). Before Quidco were around, cashback site deals averaged around the 50% mark (with the site keeping the other 50%).
Tracking problems can and do occur with all cashback sites. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Slightly off topic: I have made a complaint to Quidco in relation to Esure. They offer £45 cash back through Quidco, but the quote through Quidco was near enough £45 more than a standard quote (yes the same data was inputted into Esures site in both cases). Rather defeats the object, though not sure Quidco are doing anything about it.
Paul1Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0
