    HAVING READ TRILLIONAIRE'S POST:

My intention wasn't to criticise your OH. :o I just meant to point out that you seem to be taking all the guilt and be the only adult in the house who (at least at the moment) is facing up to the situation and trying to get out of it.

I do think you're doing really well - keep it up. But PLEASE stop taking all the blame on to yourself - there are 2 of you, so settle for half the guilt and put the other half into a savings account... :rotfl:

Unfortunately it is just me on the journey. However, OH is a lovely man in a lot of other ways so I don't like to criticise.

At the moment it does feel a little like he is earning the money and I am spending it. :o I'm going to look into the daily clicks I have read about and see how I can get on with ebay.

It is not just me, OH and little bear that are going on holiday, but also my Dad. My Dad is not giving me any money to the cost of the holiday himself as (a) I suspect he is a little short at the moment and (b) he will insist on paying for as much as he can get away with while we are on holiday, so I suspect I will not spend as much of the 'spends' as I would anyway (that does make sense - honest!). As we would go without Dad and he will add a great deal to the pleasure of the holiday I think we will get a bargain.:D

I do feel that a month or two without me buying random items will be of great benefit, and the chances of that are much better now I am on the 'happy pills'.

I noticed a thread about spending the minimum in June - I shall investigate that and I shall investigate as well the Old Style board, and I really can cut down on my waste and grocery spend.

Really appreciate all the posts - it gives me a great deal of support, and hopefully I can stay on the straight and narrow.

Wannabe S you buy as many knitting needles as you want ;) but only every time you reach your goal!

I think that you are doing a great job of taking charge of your spending and you are heading in the right direction.

I think the other posters will soon realise that you don't want critisisms (sp?) of your OH:p , just help, encouragement and support to improve your financial life.

NOW ..... have you sorted out the child benefit and CTC? If NO, why not? Plus have you set up the direct debits for the bills on line yet? Get to it girl, come on, up you get, get them sorted. I will check later to see that you have:rotfl: YOU CAN DO IT

Thank you for your support - no I haven't done the 'money' stuff - so many people coming round, visitors, and I have just got onto the antidepressants - but tomorrow I shall - and I shall come back on here to let you know!

Thank you for nagging me - much needed.

Today I need to find all the bits of paper, sort out the direct debits, sort out the Child Benefit and chase OH about the Child Tax credits (I think that is right) which should come to me.

    What a daunting prospect!

I could make it a paperwork day, filing away all the mound of papers that are around, setting up a proper diary system (used to be a secretary and some bits have stuck), making all the appointments and phone calls I need to, like getting little bear registered with a dentist. I was never registered with a dentist until I was 17, and I want to do better than that for little bear.

I really should make it a paperwork day.... but I really don't want to. And I have several huge boxes of papers sitting around getting in the way from when I had to get rid of two four drawer filing cabinets. I am getting extremely irritated each time I trip over them. It would make so much sense to get on and sort the paperwork.

    I really don't want to....

Okay, I need the reward programme, and I don't really want to spend money on the reward.... Hmmm.

If I work hard at the paper work today, on Monday I get to sit and watch DVDs while little bear is napping.

    That's a deal!
