Not sure what sex you are but could you wear shorts & long socks
if your'e a bloke & a skirt and stockings if you're a sheila. That way you only need to wash the socks/stockings.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
You could try this from Maplin. An ultrasonic dog repellent which is inaudible to humans but repels too friendly/unfriendly dogs. Don't know whether you may be able to get it on a 30 day trial or something to see if it would work. That way you'd keep the dogs away from you, so long as they aren't deaf. Good Luck.

Failing that, perhaps you could impregnate a pair of gloves with citronella spray, dogs hate the smell and hopefully they should stay clear of you when they smell it.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. I use baby oil on my hob. It did not work on my brushed stainless steel cupboards so I use mr muscle window and glass cleaner spray.0

I use an old spray bottle filled 50 / 50 with vinegar and water. We live in a hard water area and get white spots and limescale on all our stainless steel, including the sink, so the vinegar keeps them at bay and also tends to stop any 'smearing' on the shiney surface.0

I find baby oil is great as a finisher, but not so great as a cleaner. I bought baby oil in a spray mist bottle, which means it goes on more sparingly than if I was using a normal bottle.
I start by cleaning my stainless steel appliances (all mine are SS) with a microfibre cloth and water. The hob sometimes requires Stardrops if I've left burnt on stuff on there.0 -
Another vote for baby oil.
Clean grime first with soapy water and dry. A little drop of baby oil on some kitchen roll and then buff up with a clean piece of kitchen roll.Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0 -
just re-fitting the kitchen, mess, dust everywhere.... has been like this for about a month woth various bits of prep work every weekend, but finally we are getting there I have a nice new hob and oven, and sink, however all of the above are stainless, and I was wondering what is the best thing to clean them with and whats the best method and any other general cleaning tips be much appreciated
I have given them a quick wipe with vingear/water and buffed with microfibre cloth but there is still a couple of marks where the protective plastic stuff was and also whats the best way to keep water marks off the sink.... we wanted a granite / composite one but had to settle for stainless as the only one we could find was from the US and was going to cost £450 unlike the stainless at £50!!0 -
I cleaned my kitchen yesterday and remembered reading something about baby oil and stainless steel.... just can't remember it exactly... anyone help?
Stardrops seems to be the recommended cleaner for stainless steel sinks though.0 -
My mum has a huge stainless steel splashback behind her cooker and she buffs it with baby oil. It comes up lovely. They took my signature away!!!!0

Hi Sally,
Baby oil or vegetable oil is definitely the best thing for cleaning stainless steel. We have an older thread on this that should help so I'll have a look for it and merge your thread with it.
