Uhmmm... I have no idea why it is so. I just tried again and it worked well.

Try to clear all the cookies, history files to see if it helps. It seems that the cache from your college proxy server might cause the problem. Maybe, you could try from another PC (i.e. your friends' or relatives' ).

PS - Are you sure you are putting the code in right with no spaces? Also, are you definately using those items? I tried it twice from the same machine using different accounts and it worked...

tried it on home pc and got the same.
Reformatted my daughters machine last night and tried it on that this dinnertime as well... got the same?

Not yet... are you logged into your account when you try it? If yes then log out by clicking on the "not you" bit on the front page, then try again without logging in. Then create an account.

If on the otherhand you do it logged out, try logging in first... OR phone a friend and get them to do it...

Have a look at the help screen as I think you are trying to add the code too early, it shows you a graphic of when to do it. If you don't see an 'apply' button then you're on the wrong screen. Don't add it on the credit card screen but when you're about to confirm the order. I had the same problem until I read the Amazon explanation, good luck

Ah.... For me the promotional code was still 'in my basket' from when I tried it out last week...so I guess it was giving me an error message when I tried to add it again unwittingly. Looks good to me now! £62.98 delivered. Very tempting.
