Boots mobile phones - £72 Free advantage points
Comments

Nice one! Unfortunately I can't see anything big that I want to spend the points on so will just carry on trickling them off on small goods. I don't think I'll be using the advantage machines for a while though, just in case they can take off what they put on...
Just changing the subject slightly has anyone cancelled their contract yet? Is it a month's notice and where do you address your letter? I'm either going to cancel my contract or ring & ask about upgrading my phone soon, guess it would also have to be after the year's contract that they first let you discuss upgrading?0 -
cor hope they don't notice0

Good heavens. This must be costing someone a fortune. But who? Boots? Dextra? O2?
It doesn't take many mistakes like this at £330 a pop before we're talking serious money! The downside is, of course, that it's not the sort of sum that the accountants will be willing to write off.
My iPods will be going into a holding pattern before I let them loose on eBay, just in case I have to give them back.0 -
I wonder if anyone can help. I'm after a new mobile phone and I stumbled across this thread. Can anyone recommend the best current deal if I want to get as many Boots points as possible? In respect to mobiles I don't really use it too much and I'm not really bothered about what phone I get.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,

as for the points you email them on the receipt on the 7th invoice, and they will let you know how to claim the points
I also took out a e550 on t-mobile through the boots mobile shop. Thing is I thought it was a 12 month contract (relax100) but T mobile say its on 18 month.
Are you on 12 month or 18? If on 12 month, have you got any evidence to support the favct that boots nadvertised them on 12 month tariff??

I just spent way too long looking at the phones on boots and doing ebay searches, so I thought I'd share:
If you want to buy the phone from boots for the points, use the sim card in your own cheapie phone, and sell the handset for ready cash, the best selling ones on ebay, going for about £125+ seem to be:
Nokia N72
Motorola KRZR
Samsung D800
Samsung X830
Sony Ericson K800i, M600i, W710i, W850i, and Z610i
I *think* the common thread here is the phones that hold a lot of music are doing well.

Hi, I'm Mich
I won a years supply of Comfort fabric softener in November 2013 - more than half remains...
2015 survey proceeds £115.360 -
The most expensive phones are a lot less impressive deals though, unless I've missed some....
The best deal is this:
http://www.bootsphones.com/incentiveDetails.aspx?ret=0&pc=5&tc=13&np=12&m=2&t=1969&p=1962&i=2769483&pkg=240-255P01306019&st=0&offset=0&hp=0&rt=0&categoryquantity=0&gb=0&t=1969
£300 cost over 12 months
£415 boots points
So even though its a cheaper phone you are making £115 before even taking the phone into account.....0 -
why not keep your own phone and order a virgin sim card through telewest.
It is £10 a month for 300 texts and 300 anytime any network mins.
I've got this and it is a cracking deal.
also there is no contract to sign into0 -
