Help, I was quietly waiting for my £350 worth of points to be added to my card when 9th month went by I e-mailed Dextra to chase when I was told the deadline was up and I was no longer eligible!!
Needless to say I am absolutely GUTTED as I only bought the phone contract to get this deal. My fault for not reading the T's and C's but does anyone else think they are a little unfair to make you claim in less than a month after your 7th bill? Also as the initial 1000 points were allocated automatically it is a very confusing process to then make you write in.
I have tried to plead but they are very smug in telling me that I signed up to the T's and C's and they won't give me any points.
I will write to Boots again - I am determined to get something out of them!0 -
Does anyone know what the best phone deal to get advantage points is at the moment?0

As Vodaphone is changing the t's and c's is anyone going to try to get out of their contract early?0

Hello
thanks all for this.
I got my points - well £320.00 worth. I've been reading the Orange site. It states that I can change my £25.00 monthly contract in Sept. But if I alter to a different tariff does that mean I sign up for another 12 months? Sept - Sept 2007? Or would it alter it to Sept, Oct Nov and then I can cancel it.
The most I used was 3 texts and 25 mins in a month when on holiday.
I did read that you need to let them know 1 month before if you want to cancel it - I'd like to alter to pay as you go as soon as possible. It is handy for emergencies.0 -

How weird! I also got the "Boots error in your favour, collect 35,000 points". How could they make this mistake TWICE? Guess they'll probably be able to nab the points back if they ever realise their mistake...if I haven't spent them already that is... Seems a really disorganised company this, in the Newport store, quite often out of stock of basic items, often just one person on the till at the busiest times, their advantage cards weren't working for months and now when they do start working again I'm gifted with £350 worth of Boots stuff, think that just about makes up for the other complaints really!!
One other thing, just to change the subject. Has anyone cancelled their contract yet? Is it one month in advance or can it be even earlier & does anyone know the address to write to? Thanks...& hope other people receive the points gift (but not enough so they realise their mistakes ;-))0 -

Well I have still got those points I shouldnt have just sat on my card. Im just going to leave them on there and see what happens. If they havent been claimed back in 6 months time, then guess where all my Christmas pressies are going to be bought from! If I spend them and close the account, I cant see what they can do about it really.Matched betting proceeds so far: £505.000 -
Yep. Funnily enough I went on a rare foray into Boots on Friday and discovered an unexpected 33,000 points! Very nice surprise.
Not sure what will happen but, posession being 9/10 of the law, my local store found itself somewhat lighter of iPod this weekend.0
