Geriatrica on sea where we are watching is going down - but very slowly. Most of the property seems to be executors, so the property is standing empty.

I wonder what is going to happen up to Christmas. Maybe the executors are taking the attitude that they need the higher price and will wait.

Best hope for a cold winter then ;) A few more properties will become available by the spring...

  • 25% of all houses in the UK are bought for cash - these are only captured by the Land Registry, who also use actual selling prices for their figures. But as it uses a like for like analysis the Land Registry excludes new builds, which account for about 10% of the market.

Don't forget that Land Registry won't record repossesion sales in their figures for some reason:confused:
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

  • Out of interest here is a report on Aberdeen house prices - not Nationwide or HBos but from Aberdeen Solicitors Property Centre and published after scrutiny by Aberdeen City Council

Something to remember, in Scotland once an offer is accepted the price will almost certainly never change and the sale will, in virtually all cases proceed to completion - no messing about there.

At the very end there is a comment - worth reading

;) Not quite as boring as your post though ;)

I'm sure many people appreciated understanding that the UK average does not mean their local average. Many times the UK or what is happening to one area is reffered to must be happening to the same extent all over the UK.
    It's simply not true
