Hi customs scum here,

I suggest you google it yourself, 3200 is a guideline not a limit you can have what you want as long as you can prove its for your own personal consumption, hell i've let people go with 10000+ and on the flip side i've seized 1000 fags off of someone because they intended on selling the items.

I've often thought about buying online. My friend assures me it's legal if they're for you, but I just get the jitters about it in case it's not.

Certainly easier than booking coaches and sitting with a bunch of annoying people, without being allowed to smoke, for hours on end.

Its not illegal as long as you declare them properly and pay the vat and duty on the point of import, which would make them more expensive that tescos etc.

If you are going on the ferry from Hull then its an overnight trip.

By the time you have paid for everything it really wouldnt be worthwhile from Yorkshire.

Its a good thing to stock up while you happen to be there but these days, up North, it doesnt benefit much to make a special trip.

They could stop smoking then it wouldnt be a problem at all......I did!!

If they are retired and can go anytime, although they maybe dont like flying, it really is the cheapest way.
Use flightchecker for lowest fares, Ryanair it to Gerona or Reus. 1 or 2 nights accom in Lloret or Malgrat.
JP Black are normally around 28 Euro so 32 cartons saves over £600 compared to UK prices.
Ive stopped for nearly 2 yrs now so may be a bit out of date, but often I could get cigarettes at local market or off local arfur Daley for around £30 carton, so this effectively halfs saving. Time you add cost of fag run on, is it worth hassle?

I never said limit though did I?

And please ask your boss if you can concentrate your efforts, and our tax money on terrorists and illegals rather than perfectly inocent people just buying fags.......... thanks.

i wish people would learn to use the € key more, as reading e24, makes no sense to me... i really thought someone was talking in code, until i realised they meant €24...

as for cheap cigarettes.. yeah. i need to go somewhere soon...
even if they are €38 in spain, that is still cheaper than the uk, for a premium brand.. (£55 for Marlboro Lights)..

As far as asking me putting your ideas forward I will once you have a clue what your talking about, you have no concept of how many weapons, how much drugs, indecent and obscene material we take out of circulation, but all muppets like you see is poor innocent tavellers being hassled by customs officers.

One other quick issue "illegals" are a matter for the immigration agency, and until we are fully integrated into ukba its not our remit, and terrorists are dealt with by special branch and or s.o.c.a
