Kids are playing in the paddling pool - I'm still sorting out the conservatory! I've cleaned all the windows, including the roof and all the UPVC. Cleaned half of the floor - just left the middle where the kids keep running in and out as it's the only way into the house from the garden. Going to start bringing the stuff back in now and hopefully get rid of some of it while I'm doing it!

Last load of washing is in the WM which is our bedding but the ironing pile is now threatening to overtake the kitchen.:o

    Okay I'd better carry on

Sun has come out now and it's really hot. The phone has been playing up for a few days. Can ring out no problem, but although it rings in during the morning or evening it doesn't ring in the afternoon. Yes I know, weird. Anyway the technician came this morning (even though we told them it was an afternoon problem) and he is supposed to be coming back this afternoon.

When he's gone and it cools down out the back a bit I'll cut the grass out there. It's really growing quickly now.

He just came back and as predicted the phone isn't ringing in now. He said there is a network fault but it won't be mended until Monday. That's OK, people will just have to ring morning or evening :D

    Hi Ladies,

am undecided whether to get the girls bunkbeds as they keep asking for them. What do other people think of them? My dd's are 5 and 3?

My two are in bunk beds and they are fine, they are 7 and 2, nightmare to change the sheets tho

My boys have high sleepers, I HATE changing the sheets, sheets straps are a godsend (I got mine from Kleeneze) to keep the sheets on, I even put the sheets on with them to save them twanging back. This of course is made worse by having 2 bed wetters. Other than that great space saving thing. Roll on when the boys can make their own beds!

Decided stuff the housework for a few hours and went to the pet shop and farm shop. I needed to go anyway and forgot yesterday (farm only open Friday/Saturday) Took the boys with me and so pleased I did as there were some teeny piglets aswell :D so we awwwwed at them for a little while whilst DS1 held his nose, then commented they'd be food for us soon etc so we got the comment of 'Nice to meet you and I hope you are tasty' :rotfl: . Got (all free range) whole chicken, slab of topside (enough for dinner + leftovers) pork and chesnuts sausages, 16 big burgers as DP is on about buying a bbq this week (8 pork and apple which are LOVELY and 8 beef just as nice) plus 2 sirloin steaks for tonight as a treat, £25 :D I also found out a butcher I used to use near where we used to live lives round the corner from me, he's offered to deliver anything I need on his way home which is nice of him.

Juliejim well done witht he conservatory, we did the roof in here, yuk! I don't think it'd been done before that's for sure! I forgot we bought a paddlin pool 2 years ago, I should have got it out for the boys, weather wasn't as nice last year and what with the neighbours always dumping their kids on me where we used to live I didn't put the new one up. I will tomorrow if it's still nice and I can find something to inflate it with...I did have a pump, somewhere

**waves pointy finger at bargainbird** oi get workin :rotfl: your little green light is still on!

The washing dried really quickly once the sun came out, though it is cloudy again now. All folded and put away and I've cut the grass. Cottage pie in the oven now.

    Tee hee,

One of the lots I bought at the auction house last week was a small pile of old postcards. One of them has just sold on ebay for more than I paid for the whole lot :D

Well, I have mucked out the car (if any  ORF ops  were watching, you probably had a good shot of my bum for a while - it's always best viewed through a wide angled lens :rotfl:) and dysoned and washed it. I bet you all thought it was just a dull silvery grey - it's actually a shiny metallic silver and no, the wheels weren't naturally black, they are silver alloy :o

There was half a ton of springer spaniel hair in the back and quite a bit of mud too. But, it's all now clean for a bit.

Well done soappie, wish I knew what sort of thing to buy when it comes to things like that, but shhhhh be careful or the taxman might want his share.

DP washed my car, so I didn't have to :D then got him to inflate the pool with his compressor, I didn't realise the pool was quite as big as it is. Now it's filling, well trying to, it's taking AGES! Thinking fill today and it'll be ready for tomorrow maybe warm up in the sun a bit because I wouldn't like to think how many kettles it'd take! Just hope it's nice tomorrow.

Steak topped with left over prawns, some salad and a few chips for tea, it was LOVELY!! Hmmm, washings dry and dumped, maybe I should fold it and deposit it with the rest that needs putting away.
