Vanilla - Have to got the recipe for Hobnobs ???????

    Cheers me dears......

    Twink's recipe
this is the recipe i use
    8oz sr flour
    8oz sugar
    8oz porridge oats
    8oz margarine
    1tbsp golden syrup
    1tbsp hot water
    1/2 tsp bic soda
mix flour, oats and sugar, melt marg, syrup and water in a pan stir in bic soda and add to dry mix, mix well, make smallish balls and put on greased tray and flatten slightly with a fork, 180oc for 15 mins, cool on the tray, you just want them golden in oven not brown

Be warned they are lovely and one batch will last about an hour.:rotfl:

And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.

Wee done soappie, wish I knew what sort of thing to buy when it comes to things like that, but shhhhh be careful or the taxman might want his share.

As there was one local postcard I wanted in that bundle, then I'm selling on things I have no further use for :D That's my excuse anyway. ;)

But I always do declare any extra income from non-no-further-use-for stuff to the taxman anyway (like dividends and my Google adsense money from a website I run). Because of the work I do and the way I run my services, I'm at higher risk of being investigated than a lot of people so I'd rather be squeaky clean now just in case.

We've had nice sunshine here now since about 4pmish and it's really warm. I sat in the garden in the sun for a bit just now with a G&T and it was too hot, so I've come back indoors to wait for the sun to go behind next door.

Just trying to decide what to do for dinner. I was going to do a chicken soup with the remains of Thursday's roast chicken but it's too hot for that. I might just settle for some salmon steaks that are in the freezer for me and DiL with some rice made up with peas, onions, dill etc. and salad. DS can have some of the cold chicken (he doesn't like salmon!)

:rotfl: sorry didn't realise I made such a bad typo until you quoted it, have corrected it :o

Paddling pool still isn't full!!! Good excuse to use the PC while I keep an eye on it. Still really warm here and I feel like I am cooking. Once this pools done I must sort through the freezer and list it before I put anything I ot from the farmshop in.

DP just sent me a text saying are we going out on the bikes this week, now I am scared, I still haven't braved it even when I said I would, I haven't even got on mine for about 9 years :o At least I will have built in saddle bags :o

Bargainbird I have made them minus the golden syrup and they came out just fine (it was because I couldn't get the tin open :o) Oh and we must be too well behaved because a batch lasts usually 5 days to a week.

Pools full enough for me to give up :D:D fluffing cold tho :rotfl: DS2s been in twice braving it and jumped straight back out, one time was accidental and head first :rotfl: fishing grass out, they'll remember it isn't worth it eventually!

Grrrr I hate ignorant people who can see you have washing out then light a BBQ without warning you so you can get it in. Just dashed upstairs to shut the windows aswell. Maybe it's just me who is too considerate and warns people.

Hmm wonder where that bottle of wine is....? Think I put it in the fridge.

Could you arrange for a conveniently timed puncture?;)

And I know what you mean about people and barbecues! Fortunately there are none in these 'ere parts this evening - I've got the dog blanket from the car on the line drying at the moment.

Seems like DiL is having dinner at her parents so it'll be just me and DS - I will do the salmon and rice thing with chicken instead for DS.

Does that mean I'm sad and don't have a life?
