I would just pop them into the casserole. The meat will fall off the bone really easy when its been cooked0

I take the skin off and stick them in with the bone. The meat falls off and often leaves the bone behind in the pot so there's no wrestling to be done.
They are so much better value and taste loads better than breast meat for slow cooking dishes.0 -
No help to you now - but I buy them with skin and bones removed - they are great when used in a slow cooker casserole/curry.Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0

i can't handle any meat on the bone. id love to be able to , but i just can't.be so much cheaper if i could.
but i have a recipe and it asks for chicken tights , skinned and boneless. can i buy them like this , or do i have to do this myself ?0 -
I use diced turkey thigh meat. Usually from Asda on a tray in the raw meats section. There is usually around 500gms on a tray (sometimes more, sometimes less) and for two of us I divide it into 250gms parcels before freezing.
Obviously, if using straightaway, just put into the slowcooker dish with your onions, veggies and whatever liquid you are using. You may have to cut some of the pieces into smaller size.0 -
Hello Folks
Just a quick question please.
I'm about to cook a recipe that says I need 12 boneless, skinless chicken thighs. However, silly me bought chicken thighs with the bone in, (I've never seen boneless ones to be honest!). So my questions is - is it easy enough to debone them or is it not worth my while??

depends what recipe you are using but if you cook them for long enough in the oven the meat should fall off the bone - i wouldn't try and get it off first but that's just my opinionThe mind is like a parachute. It doesn’t work unless it’s open.:o

easy done
cut down roughly along the bone line
then just work your way around the bone with a knife
or if you have decent hand strength
chop the top bottom of the bones off and push/work the bone out

I get chicken thighs for a casserole and cook them over the hob for 40 minutes barely covered with water. This means the meat (and fatty skin) falls right off and it tenderises the meat too.spendy/she/her ***DEBT-FREE DATE: 11 NOVEMBER 2022!*** Highest debt: £35k (2006) MY WINS: £3,541 CASH; £149 Specsavers voucher; free eye test; goody bag from Scottish Book Trust; tickets to Grand Designs Live; 2-year access to Feel Amazing App (worth £100); Home Improvement & Renovation Show tickets; £50 to spend on chocolate; Harlem Globetrotters tickets; Jesus Christ Superstar tickets + 2 t-shirts; Guardians of the Galaxy goody bag; Birmingham City v Barnsley FC tickets; Marillion tickets; Dancing on Ice tickets; Barnsley FC v Millwall tickets0
