    In fairness to Zoe, something as simple as a missed bottle can have a knock on effect for days. Toddlers are creatures of habit, and really dont like their habits broken.

    Yes, it's just a bottle of milk.

    HOWEVER

    a) it was off; selling products unfit for purpose is illegal and at any rate reflects badly on the shop
    b) the store refused to refund; it's only £1.96, for christ's sake... at least at where I work, we'd have given the OP the cost and another bottle of milk... it may be trivial, but the triviality of it just emphasises how p*sspoor Tesco's response was.
    c) it has clearly caused the OP inconvenience.

    Yes, it's "only two quid" but two quid is two quid, and if I was in the OP's shoes I'd be annoyed as well.
