I pulled out a Tesco Milk this morning, Sell By May 9th but it was off (Organic Milk BTW).
Anyway, tipped it down the sink and bought a fresh bottle from Asda. Life is too short to kick up a stink about a £1.50 bottle of milk, and to be honest it would cost me more in time, petrol etc.
Its a one off incident, move on.0 -
IMO it means something is going wrong somewhere in the system. Tesco might very well be pleased that it was brought to their attention before a shed load of other customers bought milk that was off and went shopping at Asda instead. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0

TBH I put my incident down to the fact our local tesco's had a massive fridge breakdown last week and everything had to be transferred to temporary fridges. One of those things I guess.
I was going to Asda today anyway so picked up another, much easier.0 -
Whether trivial or not I feel it is important.
If everybody kept quiet how would company be able to assess quality.
What if there were to be a contaminated batch that affected all you "Do gooders" that feel it is Trivial.
Think of the consequences! All come to he who waits!
£14997.00 still to go by December 2008

I think that zoelouise88 was complaining about the inconvenience rather than the cost.
However, to some people £1.50 is a lot of money to write off.0 -
needasprin.
I couldnt agree more. £1.50 is alot of money in this obese ridden country. Can you imagine how starved people would be if they didnt get THAT extra £1.50 for an extra three slices of cheese on their fatburgers?

the milk cost £1.96 actually
it was not the cost of the milk that has annoyed me its the fact that my 22month old son had to go without due to it being off, you may not see this as a big deal but im sure anyone who has a baby will know how hard it is when your childs routine changes even for one night.
also £1.50 might not be alot to you but when you are on a very low income and have children to bring up in makes alot of difference.
I HAVE A LIFE AND A GOOD ONE THANKS was there really any need for that comment? noWins for 2011: ........................

Sniff, then through it away!
I'm sure your slightly more in the category of a "do gooder" than everyone else!
Oh yes I forgot, this is complaning in the UK, we haven't made anything up yet. Of course we all would have died if we drank the milk!0 -
uktim29, and you need to drink some sour milk to get your bowls moving because you are full of !!!!!
Unlike you we work for our money and dont get it given to us by the goverment. You appreciate it more if it is earned.
And what would you do if you filled up with petrol/diesel and there was water in it. "Throw it away" after sniffing it?All come to he who waits!
