    yew thats horrible
maybe go back ,explain and say is there a prob with their fridge
i had similar with co op last year when it got a bit warmer weather
it wasnt lumpy but was def turning
this went on for a couple of weeks and got quite expensive rebuying 4 pints everyday
i thought i could have been my taste buds so didnt complain!
i think they hadnt adjusted the temps to suit how warm it was outside
maybe thats what happened today as its been v warm
I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p

No don't do that unless you know it. There is nothing that will annoy someone who works in a shop more (knowing their fridges are fine) than someone saying otherwise who doesn't actually know!

The only time I've had milk go off before its date was when my fridge thermostat died on me...

My parents went and bought a second hand fridge freezer (you can't buy a pantry/larder fridge easily these days) - I could have bought a new thermostat for about 15 quid and fitted it myself...

That's plain stupid!!! Why did they not just replace the milk??

Was it a 'jobsworth' type situation?

I used to manage Tesco's and the date life you get on milk can vary.
6 days over the week-end is a good life span.
I would take the empty container back along with the receipt and they will give you a refund if not a replacement as stated in their refund policy.
If you want you can tell them about your inconvenience and having to buy milk at your local Co-op which is more expensive and they might throw in a voucher for you.
I could give you 101 reasons other than the temp on the fridge was wrong which I sudgest you dont use unless you have facts as all the fridges are monitored buy alarm. If it drops below the +2 or greater than the +5 a warning alarm sounds and it gets investigated.

PS I have just seen your post and they refered you to customer services. Hope you got their name providing you took the product back with you. I would kick up a stink.

it was the store manager who told me to contact cs, i dont know why they didnt replace the milk:confused: to be honest though i didnt ask them to, it didnt enter my mind to ask.
it would have been so much easier for them to just offer me a refund.

thanks for your advise, will post again tomorrow after i have spoken to cs.

This is such a trivial event, why would you even consider moaning on a forum about it??
