Hi all, good luck to those doing car boots tomorrow. Dont bother with that Blackpoolclubbingo, have tried to withdraw twice now and both times they are coming up with new terms and conditions, have just sent a very rude email LOL ! So I am £14 out of pocket there and another £4 on a amazon refund cos a book I sent got lost in post . Not a happy bunny!0

Hello everyone,
I am not a very happy bunny right now, i stupidly fell down some stairs today whilst out shopping and have twisted my ankle  , not good as i have my intensive driving course next week, and my test on Thursday. I have been out with my mate and i can put the clutch down and drive, but i am in A LOT of pain still. If i cancel i will lose the £500 course fee as i'm cancelling with less than 48hrs notice, and i will lose the £58.50 test fee. I really don't know what to do. Arrrggghhh!
On the bright side, my mate gave me back £285 she owed me, so i have used that to put towards my Barclaycard debt. Its going down v slowly but i'm happy because i'm not finally noticing a difference!!! Lovin' it. :j0 -
Well I'm using up more food today. There are still 2 portions of yesterdays concoction left and I have put it in a pan to reheat today. I washed up the slow cooker pot and have refilled it with potatoes that were sprouting in the paper bag, I added a courgette and a pepper. I am about to add cauliflower-on its last legs-and I have some carrots that were left in the polythene bag too long and are all bruised!!! I shall let it all cook and add??? maybe passata or something in a couple of hours, along with some mushrooms-so that should be tomorrow sorted too. And I still have full freezers and loads of other stuff. Realistically i should only have to go shopping for bread, milk and fruit this week and loo rolls.
I bought a cheap wash powder today and mixed it with my regular wash powder to make it go further. I didn't even buy biscuits today-we are so skint. I might make some later on tonight, or I might take some pastry (whoopsied-cheap) out of the freezer and make some tarts or something tomorrow.... not sure really. I'm toying with the idea of making my christmas cake but might leave it until next week...
I will have to have a think.

(((hugs))) Hayley. My eldest DD fell down stairs yesterday. She can walk but she hurt her ankle and has been a home bird all day. She is going camping on monday for her D 0f E award-so I hope she is alright then-she will have to be very active and will have a rucksack on her back too!!!
Hope you are feeling better soon and that the intensive driving goes well for you. Maybe you could try some anti-inflammatories or something -ibuprofen, if you can take them (I can only take really small doses of the because of my asthma)GE 36 *MFD may 2043

I hope the ankle feels better soon Hayley, I did a similar thing when I was learning but I fell on my elbow. Although I still couldn't drive with it for a while I found that bandaging (spelling doesn't look right) it really tightly did help a bit.
You should definately make your own christmas cake Cath, my nan used to make them as she was a chef but as she has got older I've taken over. I made it on boxing day this year! A bit early I know but I was on a post-christmas diet and wanted to keep myself busy so I didn't eat. I've been slowly working my way through slice the pie, still a way to go, am on £7.31 at the moment but I'm hoping for a third star soon. Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
Thanks Nicki. I nearly always make my own cake but i'm the only one who likes it in our house!!! so I feel a bit of a pig having a full cake to eat over christmas and new year. I always put plenty of marzipan and icing on it. It helps to make my winter layer to keep me warm in winter:rotfl:GE 36 *MFD may 2043
