Jen do you find it tends to cost much more with pre-pay? I'm seriously contemplating getting the meters in for a while becasue these big bills are crippling-we pay by direct debit every month but they have just reset it to well over £100 a month and money is tight as it is....

Hi Jen. Soz we've been a bit busy. We wondered why the phone bill has shot up alarminglyand why we had international calls on our bill-we don't make international calls... Then we thought about it and studied the bill and there could only be one reason-in the shape of a teenager!!!!! So we are and have been in the throes of deciding what to do about it-apart from telling her she is no longer aloowed to use the phone in her bedroom!!! I'm furious. I kept telling her I couldn't understand why the bill was so big and she just said 'I don't know it isn't me'
    But...apparently it is!!!

My ebay is quiet lately. I have over 70 items up at the mo and only one bid!!! hope something happens soon-I need the dough!!! and my July challenge is looking a bit grim at the moment too.
I actually cooked leftovers for tea. Well when I say leftovers I mean potatoes and courgettes and pepper from the bottom of the fridge. I chopped them up and put them in the slow cooker with some water this afternoon (they were on their last legs and pre MSE would have been binned) then I asked on another thread for ideas. I added some tomato puree (half a jar that was in fridge) and some mushrooms and split peas (they were frozen) . Served it with some slices of corned beef and I had apple sauce on mine (lurking in fridge) so we had a very money saving meal. Obviously the kids didn't have any they had been out for tea celebrating a friend's birthday. I have to say it tasted better than it looked and there is loads left for tomorrow. Very money saving old style. I was dead proud!!! lol
