  • Hayley, have you got anything you can use as an ankle support. Even this long after spraining it the whole RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) still helps. Make sure you are lying down on the couch with your foot up, wrap a bandage around it. Try driving with a bandage (we usually use a thing called tubigrip which is an elasticated sleeve that you double over, they sell it in Boots but a bandage would still help if you dont want to spend money), and if it helps use the bandage/support for your test. It will give it a bit of support but more importantly will probably be more comfortable. And keep up the anti-inflammatories as they will help the swelling as well as the pain. (I am a physio by the way but don't work in musculoskeletal so don't take my advice as gospel!!!:p)

I just hope it feels better in time for your test!

Awww, thank you so much for the advice Aussie - you're a star :A

I am resting it today, and will ask my OH to go and get a bandage for it.

Just praying its a lil better by tomorrow!

    Thanks again Aussie xx
  • No probs, I just hope it feels better soon! Make sure he gets an elasticated bandage to give the best compression!

You have a much better excuse than me for lying in front of the TV, I'm just lazy! But that's what Sundays are for! Just finished watching the motorbikes with the OH, now it's onto the Tour de France for us - well, for me cos the OH has to go up to the butchers to get the roast for dinner! I love lazy Sundays!

Am trying to use the time slightly productively and am entering loads of competitions, still haven't won any so I reckon its saving up for a big one!

    Afternoon All

Glad your foot feels better Hayley. Good news about moving to Maidstone :j And re: the job, getting an admin one sounds like a good idea. Like you say get more info on the job etc.

Well just got back from seeing Hancock and it was very good (thanks to Diet Coke cinema tickets!). Me and my sis are going to see the new batman film when it comes out too :D

Kittens are ok Hayley. 1 of them (Felix) is very poorly and is at the vets. Not sure if he will pull through. Transie (the one i love!) has possibly got cat flu or pnemonia but has meds for it. He is just a bit wheezy on his chest, and Kissme is 100% healthy and nutty :rotfl: I wont be getting another cat i dont think, my 2 are enough, and my flat is big enough just for the 2.

Thanks Amy. Just sent the OH out to get the bandage, so lets hope that helps.

Once i've moved and settled i will be applying for an admin job with the Police, then when they start recruiting again i will apply to become a police officer.

I enjoyed Hancock too, great film. Will Smith looked good, obviously not at the beginning part :rotfl:

Batman looks good too, just sad about Heath Ledger. Seen alot of clips for it as he done a brilliant job playing joker.

Aww, sorry to hear about the cats Amy. I hope they get better soon. xx
