Well done on ebay everyone, I've spent a good chunk of the morning making things I've sold and packaging them up, lots to post today! Made £66.73 last night which is good .

Has anyone else seen the paypal thing about them not charging recipients when funds are sent from paypal account balances or bank accounts? I think the change happens on the 9th of July. I know most people use cards when they buy using paypal but it's a start, it will be interesting to see if it makes any difference.

Jen, I think most consoles are fairly hardy, but have you thought of taking a refundable deposit or something like that? Then you could rent it out for a while and sell it after. I think it would be extremely unlucky for it to break, but at least you'd have the deposit if it did. Plus, unless it breaks within the first five or six rentals you'll probably have made enough with the rental income plus the deposit to cover the cost of it?

Jen - personally i think renting it out might become more hassle than its worth. If you don't play it enough to make it worth while keeping it i would go for selling it, make some money, and buy something you really want, or put it towards your debt , have a little think about it.

Well im afraid im right royally fudged where my CCJ is concerned. I spoke to National Debtline and basically i dont really have a rightful claim for it to be taken off (it was my responsibility to contact debtor regarding change of address), so this morning I phoned the DCA up and paid it in full, at least it being marked as "satisfied" will be better than it being outstanding. And once it is marked as "satisfied" i will add a note to my file to say that i only found out about it yesterday and paid ASAP.

I was looking through all my old correspondence yesterday and found all my old addresses, so added those to my credit file and there is another outstanding debt for £130 from 3 years ago.

I have written to them today to see where i stand.

Basically my credit file is !!!!!!ed now, with about 4 accounts with "default" and one CCJ.

And im almost 100% sure the housing association wont take me and I wont be able to get a mortgage.

cath- i have not bought much through quidco. i did some bingo sites etc i do daily on quidco high street web and kelkoo i did money supermaket for £1.00 lottery dvd rental 2 savings account and 2 credit cards lotto 24 party gaming william hill credit report photobox pixum etc for some photos i wanted anyway sun bingo betfair some boucher requests and requested sim cards about £10 was from buying stuff throw them! hope that helps

Hello Amy,

I am so sorry Amy, so nothing more can be done in regards to your CCJ? How much longer will it stay on your credit file? 2 years? If that’s the case why not use the two years to save as hard as you can, then when you are ready to buy you will have a big deposit to put down, and probably be able to get a bigger place and a better deal with the bank.

Could you maybe speak to the financial advisor again and see what he suggests?
