I wanted to buy one of these too, but thought they were just for decoration. Do they actually work?0

Hi guys, bough this on Monday and can confirm it's absolutely brilliant and a great price! Took about 45mins to put together and started with a small fire and now she's roaring!
Recommend this product for a reasonable chimenea that 'services' all who surround it!

I was thinking of buying this but was wondering if there was enough room for the fuel - surely it has to be topped up constantly?
Argos also had a decent looking firepit for just under £40 but out of stock near me.0 -
Orange King, it was fine and yes, have found it to work. I have a good supply of good logs so just chopped them blocky rather than long, started with paper, twigs etc then straight on. Definitely didn't have to be constantly topping up
.... Everyone who surrounded it at the party loved it! V cheap too.......0 -
Got the chiminea on Friday and it was fired up Friday and Saturday evening - I see what you mean about the heat! I had some old fence posts chopped up but it went through them in just minutes! I need to get proper logs as you suggest.0

glad that you're still alive...
Fence posts will have been treated and they should never be burned.

we bought our chimenea from B&M, bought a steel pole from B&Q and cut it to length to support the tray inside, we have cooked a chicken korma in it! only took a short while and was the best we have tasted! bit disappointed not much heat thrown out but is enough, will be firing it up again tonight! we also bought camping grill pan from £1 shop so will try that as well! worst mistake was putting what i thought was dry wood, it wasnt and almost smoked the neighbours out!!!0
