just to congratulate you too on your progress, just caught up on your diary.. your doing really well, and have just made me think i need to set myself weekly goals too as well as monthly ones.

with regards to going over due date, i went over by 13 days, they let you go 14 days where we live, it was horrendus, i was the size of an elephant, well it felt that way, my ankles were fatter than my thighs and my blood pressure was rediculous so i had to keep going into by hospital, luckily i was always able to get OH home from work to take me otherwise mid-wife would have called an ambulance! the joys eh, and i want another! lol

keep up the good work :T . i'm off to finish tea and will then set myself some weekly goals ;)

Well done, you are doing so well with your budgetting. I have the same OH problem, his mentality was I have it, I spend it. Credit crunch hit him badly so he is now ebay it, spend it!!!! I'm away for a few days and he's lost, meals for one and talking to himself!

Thanks everyone..God the stories sound horrendous! I hope I don't go over!!!!!!
Well I'm having a rubbish day! My stupid mother has told me that she and her awful husband have named the baby Christopher!!! For God sake. She's actually assigned a name to the child! He's my baby. Grrrrrrrr. She is driving me up the Fing wall! I've just emailed her to tell her to back off or she won't see the baby at all. I mean I know she's excited but really this is getting ridiculous. She says she can't understand what the problem is and it's exactly the same as calling the baby 'blob' or 'junior' or whatever until it's born. BUT IT ISN'T!
I'm so sick of her interferring. She was a nightmare at my wedding and I really don't want her to wreck this! I'm so worried.
As for OH's, I know they can be a pain in the backside..it's like money issues have to slap them in the face before they notice..well it is with my oh anyway. He does 'try' but I wish he was more consistent bless him.
This is like one long moan. I don't mean it to be but i'm a bit fed up really. I just want things to run smoothly and it feels like one long battle, if it's not money it's mother and aHHHHHHHH. I've had enough.
And my poor ankles are really swelled up..mother 'helpfully' pointed out she had pre-eclampsia with my elder sister earlier. A fact she'd neglected to tell me when I asked her if she had any problem during pregnancy previously for the family history bit with the midwife. She 'forgot' apparently. That woman will be the death of me I swear! So now i'm really worried and it's the blo88y bank holiday tomorrow so the doctors is shut. I guess I could call the midwife but the hospital is miles away and we don't drive so... I'll have to call tomorrow I supose. IF I get any sleep after doom and gloom mother has told me how ill i'll be etc......
Not in the best mood..better go to sleep now I guess....
    Poor me...

Hi Jak-hope you are feeling a bit better when you read this later today. If you are at all worried do ring the midwives just to put your mind at ease. My legs were puffy and swollen at the latter part of my 1st pregnancy-I remember being dead depressed because I couldn't zip up my boots over my big puffy legs on their own when before I could effortlessly zip them up over skinny jeans-I didn't have pre-eclampsia. I bet you are feeling really tired if you are doing the graveyard shift and it makes things seem a lot worse especially if you add the hormone situation to the mix. You are doing so well so don't be despondant-bet you feel like a different woman tomorrow after a good nice sleep.

Well my ankles have gone down a bit today so I'm going to wait until tomorrow to speak to someone as i've got the consultant anyway so i'll ask her! I'm up with the lark as my body clock is back to front and upside down after 3 nights in a row. And I couldn't sleep because of the thing with my Mum. I spoke to my Gran today and I'm glad I called as it's my Grandpas b-day today and we lost him in November so she needs an eye keeping on her...Although she's doing well considering.
On he MS upside, we ran out of bread today so instead of buying some more (weather helped!) I made some scones- they were a bit on the flat side but really nice! And there are enough left for breakfast tomorrow too. I'll be eating at work today so just dh to cook for later. I think he'd be best with JP and beans type meal as he's working till 3pm anyway. He wanted to go to the pub today along with the rest of out town, but I told him I didn't want ot go in case someone bangs into me or something- everyone will be hammered today! Also, he had to get up at 3.15am for work- his last day before he's off, so he'll be really tired!
I'm hoping to be able to have a money meeting with him either tomorrow or Wednesday so I can show him how we are doing financially and we can revise our budget in time for next months outgoings. I hope my online banking shows my credit card as £0 tomorrow because I really want to show him that so he can appreciate how much has been paid off already! I then want to explain that we have to work on the O/D and loan next, not just leave them to run their course.
I'm thinking of suggesting that we build some spends money into our budget this month. It may set up back slightly on our DF journey, BUT I need dh to be able to manage his own money- even if it's £40 pcm or something similar. I also want him to realise that when it's gone, it's gone- so if he wants to buy a DVD, he can without moaning on to me endlessly, or if he wants to get a cab or something, he's got some cash to play with. It depends how much he gets paid of course this month.
Last month he got a bit of a bonus, so I'm hoping this month will be a decent amount so we can pay off at least £500 with his wages. Maybe I'll wait until I see what he gets before suggesting about spends money. I don't want to leave us short for debt repayment.
    Ummmm.

Not too bad so far...I ended up calling dh in tears because I culdn't find the polish! Oh for god sake! This thing with Mum has really upset me! I e-mailed her last night but had no response yet. Chance of her saying sorry is nil. She won't care how much she upsets me as long as she doesn't have to admit she's wrong. Well it's up to her now. I'm sick and tired of always being the one to smooth things out for everyone. Someone elses turn.

OK that's enough housework for me...back hurts now BUT house is lovely and shiney! I've also made a pasta bake for dh dinner and my lunch! (Just let me polish my halo!) After i've eaten i'm going back to bed for a bit. I am so tired!!!! Stupid nights do my head in. Oh well. I finish Sat. morning for a WHOLE YEAR!!!! Woooo Hooooooo. I literally cannot wait. 3 more shifts to go...Then i'm on mat leave at last!
Then I really DO need to do the bedroom, don't want the baby coming home to a dusty house now do we!?!
Tomorrows menu is going to be a roast dinner I think. I'm not sure whether to get out the lamb or chicken. Maybe chicken because then dh can have leftovers for his dinner on Wed when i'm out. Yes chicken it is. It's zesty whole chicken thing. Sounds really nice actually. Then Thurs we will both eat at work, ditto Friday. God it saves us loads of money doing that! Last week for me for a bit tho...I'll have to try and think of some really cheap meals for when I'm off work. I'm quite happy with leftovers, but I want to make sure i'm getting enough of the right sort of things to eat so the baby's healthy. Mind you. The garden will be coming into it's own quite soon hopefully and ALDI is cheap for veg and stuff at the moment. It all helps...
