I've just cooked the most lovely dinner. Noodles and beef with fahita seasoning and soy sauce. Bit of a store cupboard invention that I will be repeating. Yum.
There is enough there for my husband to have some and for his dinner tomorrow night as i'll be eating at work then.

Thanks Beanielou! I'm so chuffed! I can't wait until next Wednesday!
I went to work and got £4.80 in tips, 4X20ps so i've £6 now in my little tin to put towards Christmas! Also the £4 is going to be used to buy some conditioner that's on sale in Tescos that I like and it's reduced to 74p. I'm going to buy 4 lots as I need to stock up before the baby's born.
I'm pulling another extra shift tomorrow as one of my work mates is in hospital, poor girl! So i'm doing another 4 hours. 14 hour shift in total as I normally do 10 on a Thursday! Yuk! I get food tho so that sorts out dinner for me, and hubby usually gets fed if he lurks around looking hungry so that's good.
Also got some more movies from my lovefilm free trial so if we watch them tomorrow it keeps hubby from going out AND he's doing an early shift on Friday (extra one!) so that's him entertained! Good!
I'm off to check my onepoll account for surveys now!

OK just gave hubby £3.50 of tips money for a haircut so now i'm down to 1 bottle of conditioner. That's ok tho. At least i'll be able to get 1. Actual;y i've just found £1.15 in my bag so if I make any tips tomorrow i'll be able to get 2 bottles of conditioner. It sounds silly to get excited about conditioner, but i'm allergic to loads so if I find one i'm ok with reduced, it pays to buy loads if I can. Saying that i'm not letting myself buy any moe than will last until Christmas because 1. we don't have the space, and 2. the money would be better in the bank.
I wonder how many other people bulk buy? I get nervous if i've got less than a 3 month supply of toothpaste, conditioner, shampoo, shower gel, deod. etc. I used to be much more like that with food and i've had to trian myslef not to buy loads we don't need. I'm geting better, but once a pack rat,. always a pack rat...

Well i've just spent ages online trying to figure out the best way to save money- I mean actually save it in a savings account- for when we can~! I need to get any accounts set up before the baby is born and registered with online banking to make life easier! I can't seem to figure out which are best tho! I need several, for different purposes. I'll use my ISA for house money and nothing else but it's with Nationwide and I don't know the interst rate!!! I'll have to go and ask them! I also need to set up an account linked to our joint savings with Halifax but need my savings card which I can't find! I've ordered another one and i'm waiting for it to come. This will be our holiday spending money account. So far we've got £115.50 in the online joint savings but the interest rate is rubbish! So that needs sorting. i also need somewhere to put our emergency fund money and this needs to be instant access but have a decent interest rate. I'm thinking of A&L reg. saver? Or?
I need one for Christmas money as it's in a linked account with my Lloyds- which again has an awful interest rate! This really needs sorting out. I might actually go around the banks and ask them which account has the best interest rate. I need instant access to all the accounts except the house one but I want to use my ISA for that, or i'll lose my allowance. It is so confusing!
God that's loads of savings accounts. How confusing! AND I need them set up and sorted by July 16th! Unfortunately we won't have anything to put in them until the 9--16th July depending on debts etc. so that makes the set up a bit tricky. Unless I can get ones you set up with £1 or something...?
I don't know. Anyway, one thing at a time. Get rid of debts first...THEN worry about savings. It will be nice to have the security of them tho...

NSD today and I made £5.40 in tips. Good job too! I'm going to buy that conditioner tomorrow now! I also picked up another extra shift for Saturday which means i'll have worked 39.25 hours instead of 20 this week so that's another few quid for the DFW kitty!

It's nearly time to add up our money book and figure out how our first proper budgetted month went! I hope it went well! We still have some money left in our little drawers in some sections so hopefully we will be able to put the 'spare' money towards Christmas! We are hoping for £15 a month towards Christmas- saved from our budget as it is the Christmas for free challenge!
I'm a bit worried i'll lose track of my DFW stuff once the baby's born so i'll have to try and be doubly motivated! Although hopefully it'll be 'debt free and trying to save' J then!
Our savings amounts are as follows so far:
    £540 holiday flight money
£115 holiday spends money-still got to put in £73.70 which will bring our total up to £188.70 for our first months' 'extra' money. We need to save £1000 in total over the next 5 months, so £811.30 to go which is £162.26 pcm!
Christmas savings: £1.92, £44 in vouchers, £50 Quidco and £7 topcashback £7.10 in onepoll, 8500 points in consumer pulse!
We are getting there, but SLOWLY!
    I always want everything now!

Ohh almost forgot to say, my husband brought home the £5 off a Morrisons shop for us to use for food shopping! I'm actually very impressed as he normally wouldn't bother! Maybe he listens after all... Well...sometimes anyway! LOL!

I forgot to say, I recieved my credit card pin number today! I also got my statement yesterday. THat is put to one side so I can go into the bank to pay my credit card in full. I just realised that it's a bank holiday this week so my wages won't go in until Thursday- not Wednesday which is really annoying as it means I won't be credit card debt free until THursday, not Wednesday! THat is so annoying!!!!
