Just updated my Christmas for free vouchers and stuff! Very excited! My waggy tail moment for today I think! I need to try and convert some of my vouchers into cash tho...or make a LOT more from quidco. Hmmmm need £80 cash for Christmas dinner (at least!)! I wonder if I could ask for that for my Christmas present?! Everyone is coming to us this year you see. BUT our flat is tiny and we literally can't fit everyone in to eat so we are searching for a place to eat. They all seem to be £50 per person!!! Far too much, so we are hoping to find one for £40 per person, still far more than we can afford!!! BUT better than £50 and we've got to be realistic about it!
I feel a bit bad moaning as my Dad and his wife are flying in from the US, my broother is abroad also, and my sister and gran are coming and everyone is staying in a hotel! Also my Mum and her husband! Going to be manic!!! But baby's first Christmas, so I can't wait to see everyone!
But we also need to buy food for a buffet Christmas night and boxing day amongst other bits and bobs. We only need a small (thinking woolies worth it) tree as we've got all other decorations so that's something- got a woollies voucher to use for that! Ramble over

Hi Jak
If you can persuade OH to sell the earlier series then Amazon is really easy to do. I think that maybe an agreement that half his extra earnings go to him and the rest to you. Man are different to us women, got to reward them when they do well!:j0 -

No dice with Prison Break i'm afraid. He doesn't get his overtime until the end of next month anyway as he's mmissed the deadline so he's going to see if his friend is getting it. Otherwise i'm going to see if we can order it in from the library. So he's starting to think of things like money in his world!
I finally checked my credit file online yesterday, but have ended up twice as confused as I was! It seems to all be marked satisfactory. The only problems i've got with it are my credit card isn't marked as £153 but £2600 drawn and it has 1-2 late payments in the last 31 months. Not sure how long they take to go? I've put a thread on the DFW board to ask but i'm not sure that's the right place. So any thoughts would be greatly appreciated?! Also it says i'm using 87% of my available credit which i'm not now! So how do I get that changed? Does the bank have to do it?
Anyway, today's DFW stuff is garden focussed. I'm going to take dh on the prowl for some more reduced grow bags in Wilkos as I only need them for the soil, i've already got pots, so it doesn't matter if they're a bit battered.
Loads of my plants need planting out now- i'm hoping the weather will hold!!! We had our first home grow salad last night. Only radishes and lettuce but it all helps. I'd forgotton about the radishes actually and left them neglected in a seed tray. As it happens, they are lovely and have grown really well so that's my new radish strategy!
My tomatoes are doing well, and my mounge tout have got loads of flowers on so that's good. My runner beans have only grown 1 Plant! So they are actually runner BEAN now! And my french beans aren't so happy this year either! Old seeds is the problem I expect! Oh well, i've plenty of other stuff and a distinct lack of a gardening budget so i'll have to make do this year! Never mind. I've got a couple of people I plant swap with so i'll make some enquires later!!!
Tidying the house is a new priority also today! I literally can't bend down tho...and my back is KILLING me - the joys of being pregnant! So i'll have to delegate while dh does his version of housework! I'm turning into a nag....but only because he doesn't do things PROPERLY!!!

Ohh that's a good idea! I'll look into it tomorrow. The baby is due 16th July so every minute counts at the moment. I finish work in 2 weeks so i'm trying to do extra shifts where I can at the moment. It all helps. I think ASDA doa card too. I'll have to walk down and see. I reckon I need about £80 for actually food shopping for christmas stuff so that's about £12 per month I need to save for that. We are hoping to use any spare budget money from food etc. for christmas this year too. I'm looking forward to the end of the month so I can work out what we've got left! So far £5 electricity, £10 food, £22 socializing- although that might go down slightly with the release of sex & city!
Thanks

I take it all back! Husband (note NOT Dh anymore) is rubbish! Just found out he lent some girl at work £9! I am not happy. I know people will think 'oh it's only £9' but we don't have any money, we are trying to pay debts off, and it was for somebody elses fags!!!!! I could scream....honestly. All I want is for my husband to put us first. It's not too much to ask, is it?!
I don't know how many different ways I can explain to him that if we don't pay for stuff, we don't get it! It's like he's a financial cripple. He just won't understand!
I've got all the bank cards but he has got his cheque book. He needs it to buy stuff at work (we make about an extra £150-200 pcm by doing this) so he has to have it. But how can I trust him. The only thing I can rely on is that he will f**k it up and either spend money on rubbish (2 crates of budwiser and bought his mate fags every day last month!!!) or lend it to people. This is why the £9 is such a big deal. I swear I am never speaking to him again! G*t!

Well he's slunk off the work with his tail between his lags... but he still doesn't get it. I told him if anything like this happened again, it was finished. So now what do I do. I love him but I refuse to spend the rest of my life like this. I've taken off my wedding ring but I'm not sure how long i'll keep it off. I still don't know what to do really. Him and the sofa will be getting intimate again tonight that's for sure.
I'm so depressed. I can think of a million things i'd rather be doing than venting about this! Also I've slept ALL DAY as I was up all night crying. So i'll never sleep tonigt now. And we need some bread and I really don't want to go to Tescos. Oh dear feelinga bit sorry for self today...
