Just received a cheque today from Welcome for £2785.38 to settle my PPI claim against them. Its taken just over a year and a little help from the FOS to wrestle the cash out of Welcome's grubby little hands but its well worth the wait.

Exactly two weeks from me getting a letter from the FOS upholding my claim.
  • Hi all, I have been a victim of wf for around 5 years!! paying a £5500 car finance loan

My first question is how do I know if I have been paying ppi ??

Also when I fell into difficulties paying for about a year, there were charging me nearly £20 daily is this allowed????apparently for the repeated calls they made!!

As I am nearing the end of this ordeal aparently oweing £800 ish I decided to send a letter offering £200 to finalise the contract, this was more than two weeks ago!! is there a limit on how long they have to accept/decline my offer??

I am also considering withdrawing my offer due to there lack of response and excessive charges to my account. What do you think????
  • WF Tried to call me today and left a message stating that I had to make a payment and that my offer had been rejected as it was too low!!
I have had no confirmation of this by post as requested, I also requested that any dealings should be done via mail, due to them telling a friend who answered my phone about my account status!!! data protection mmmmm and it was a sunday!!!!!!!!!!!! they must be on a good bonus!!!
What course of action should I take next!!

Can anyone tell me who are and if they have had any phone calls from
    'Apex Collections' please?
I know they are a collections agency but unsure who they collect money for.
Just wondering if they are part of Welcome Finance.

    Hi,

Just wondered if any of the other Welcome customers that received their offer letters a few weeks ago were waiting for refunds on existing accounts??

I haven't received any re-written agreements yet and just wondered if anybody else had??

    Many Thanks in advance

    xx
