I was horrified today when going to BP to fill up with 95 unleaded costing me 95.9p a litre. I searched on https://www.overdrive.co.uk when I got home to find the prices on there are old. Anyone recomend any other sites please? I had went to Tescos petrol station at under 94p a litre on Sunday thinking that was expensive but today...hmmm

  • 99.9 here today!
  • I have looked at various websites including others posted on this site. All seem to be out of date and not all allow users to provide up to date info. One only gave averaged prices (over the past month) which is not useful unless you are researching trends!

    I tried http://www.findcheappetrol.com/ today.

I was going to start a thread on it but I searched the forums and eventually (the search isn't too reliable and it took 3 goes with the same search criteria) I found a post when people were trying to find an alternative to petrolbusters but they didn't like this one.

As with many of the other comparison sites it wasn't up to date enough. However, it is a collaborative site and allows you to enter up to date prices which I then did for all the local stations I had passed on my way to work.

What we need is for enough people to adopt a site, whether this one or another, and provide useful up to date information so that we can all benefit - much like we already do with the MSE forums. Perhaps Martin could pick the site he thinks is best for this purpose and recommend it to MSE members in his weekly bulletin (unless he is planning on implementing such a system on MSE itself).

theres a garage near here with 119.9 a litre, so 95.9 sounds quite cheap.

Thank you. It's so difficult to run my board while I'm asleep. Kind of you to do it for me.

Back to fuel chat now, lol. Has anyone actually ever had fuel delivered?

It seems much cheaper. Where's the catch? Even allowing for the fact the fuel is got from other countries, surely individual delivery is bound to push the price up?
