Am having a terrible black day today, just got myself stressed again and cannot see any way out of it, have decided to withdrew money out of my savings to pay £1800 loan and credit card off as I just can't cope with the monthy payments coming out of my account anymore, at least my monthly outgoings will be a lot less and I can try to build up my savings again,

unless the savings were paying you more than the loan was incurring in interest, you made the right decision. You've saved money in the long run and you've still got a lot of savings.

You made a positive decision for the best reasons.

Please don't cry - you did the right thing and it's a step forward - honest!

Did you look up any of the exercise classes you fancied trying?

Just cannot cope anymore.

Just wanted to send a hug your way, I know exactly how it feels to be feeling up and down all the time but the support and advice I've received on here has helped to keep me positive and I hope it does the same for you.

    Hi Rosy

I agree with the others about using some of your savings to pay those debts, like you say you can add to your savings when you have a bit more spare cash which I am sure with all the advice etc on here won't be too long in the future

I'm currently trying to get myself out of debt and it's really tough but the support on here has helped me so much, I don't think I'd have had my proper LBM if it hadn't been for the advice I've had on here

    Chin up hun x

    Hi Rosy,

Just caught up with your thread... sorry you're feeling blue, but well done for paying off that loan. My ex used to have this saying, which I think is quite fitting..... How do you eat an elephant?....... One bit at a time. You may have a mountain to climb, but take it a step at a time and you'll get there. Everyone on here is lovely, you've got some of the best people replying to you.

Hope you can join an exercise class.... I need to join one too, but I'm far too lazy!!! But over-weight so I need to do it. Exercise is good for the soul.

re Partners, I said before it's not all it's cracked up to be. I love my OH to bits but I've recently found out he's lied to me 3 times since xmas, so that's not easy... do I keep him?? Or not.

Keep on posting hun, it will get better and the sun will shine for you xxx

    Hi Rosy,

I really admire your strength in dropping your debt so drastically.

Accept Low mood as part of your constitution.
Live with it by Exercising, Exercising, Exercising.

Think of Exercising as your daily prescription for low mood. Just like someone with diabetes takes their insulin, you take your exercise.

It doesn't have to be a gym, you can start with a 20 minute walk or dancing to your favourite music played as loud as you want (headphones?).

Learn more about how to live with low mood or depression. Other than prescribing antidepressants, your GP can also point you to other forms of therapy.

You dont have to live with that dark overhanging cloud, there is a silver lining xx

    Hey rosy,

Just read your thread all the way through - wow well done on paying off so much debt already, that's fantastic!! Please remember you need to keep a work/life balance... a bit of OT or PT work is OK but too much can drive you into depression and major stress... which is an awful situation to be in and won't help you get rid of the debt either (esp if it means you have to stop working)!!

This time last year I was in a job I hated and getting paid a pittance... working v. long hours to pay the bills etc... I was an emotional, stressed wreck. In the end my OH and some friends basically forced me to see my GP who signed me off work for a total of 6 weeks. I hated the idea of telling anyone how I felt and thought everyone would just think I was pathetic for not being able to cope, but actually people seemed to understand, and were even sympathetic! (as you can tell I'm a bit of a cynic lol)

Anyways long story short I'm now in a better paid job with much less stress etc. My life at the minute definitely isn't perfect - in fact have just started seeing a pysch to deal with some issues from my past - but it's certainly a lot better than it used to be.

So - what I'm trying to say is - have faith. In yourself. In your future. You are obviously a very strong, organised and determined person so I have no doubt you can succeed at whatever you put your mind to!

And one last thought about friends - I went for (literally) years without anyone I could really open up to. Since I've met my OH (who is much more outgoing and friendly than me lol) I've met lots and lots of new people, some of whom I am proud to call close friends.

Just having someone to share with can really help, and yes of course we are all here for you *hugs* xx, but also it's good to have someone who can come round and make you a cuppa or whatever. So try to make some time (even if it's just a language or art course for 1 hour a week) for meeting people ... and who knows, they may just have a gorgeous (single!) guy friend to introduce to you ;)

Let us know how things are going xx
