The best way to get rid of the hard skin is straight after a hot bath, smother your feet in Vaseline and put a pair of cotton socks on, sleep with them on all night, and in the morning there will be nothing there but lovely baby soft skin! ;D

I totally agree about using Vaseline!
After trying for years to get rid of that awful hard skin with costly visits to the chiropadist and having pedicures I tried Vaseline out of desperation and have not looked back. I now just use a Scholl or Body Shop foot file before a shower and then after the shower smother my feet in Vaseline.
I am not ashamed to show my tootsies off now ;)
My second favorite household chore is ironing. My first being, hitting my head on the top bunk bed until I faint.

I use shea butter and keep my socks on all the time. I think you can use anything heavy, it's the socks that are the important bit!
Getting there... A deal at a time. :T

my work subsidises a chiropodist to visit every 6 weeks, it costs £8.50 for 30 minutes and includes a footspa, toenail clipping, corn/calllous/verucca removal and foot massage. the best £8.50 i spend as i have a thing about feet, can't stand them.

My GP recommended petroleum jelly (Vaseline or cheaper equivalent) years ago when I complained of dry, cracked skin on my feet which didn't seem to be helped much by the moisturising creams I'd tried, but good old petroleum jelly did the job.
  • I just got a £25 pedicure..... My feet were like a monkeys ( curled toe nails, hard palms.... u get the picture?)...... My feet are still 'stunnin' a month later...... Get a pedicure....................it's worth it..............

What a great place you work if they do that for all their staff!

    £8.50 is great value! :)

Totally agree about the Vaseline, have been doing this for just TWO days and it has made a MASSIVE difference to my feet, they are now almost presentable ... roll on the summer!

Post #1 - soak your feet in water with BLEACH??? Seriously, very bad advice.

I'd go with vaseline or the equivelent, most moisturising creams and creams. Just takes time.
