I've just had a request for the 02 return address, I'll paste my reply here as it may help others:

The o2 rep advised that I get a proof of postage from the post office, which I have, even though it is practically useless as it offers no insurance. Judging by their attitude to the whole situation so far (for me, anyway ) I recommend you send it via recorded delivery and remove the "freepost" from the address. I reckon it'll cost about £3, but you'll still be making a saving, and for me it's more the principle of it rather than the outright saving.

Also, it may be worth ordering the cheaper one (and receiving it) first, just in case, as I've had no confirmation of my new order (despite them already charging the £29.99) to my card. There are concerns that they may be limiting orders. I haven't bothered calling them about it yet as it's an 0870 number and I can't find an alternative number for that particular dept (prepay cust. services)

I've had a word with a senior manager at the O2 Complaints department regarding this £39.99 for the Nokia 6030 one day and the next day its £29.99.

O2 have said that in all instances giving customers back the £10.00 difference would be the easiest way but apparently the customer service advisors just don't have the systems that will allow them to process the £10.00 refund.

They have advised me to let you know that the only way to get the phone at £29.99 is to buy it again and send the phone back in the Freepost returns address.

I'm sure it's possible for them to issue the refund, perhaps not the CSRs themselves, but surely they can pass the request on to the relevant department.

They're just betting that most people won't bother going through the hassle of returning it and buying another, more money in their pocket.

i tried to order another one on the net with no joy so i waded threw the hell that is the o2 cust services labryinth only to go through the whole ordering process again trying both my visa cards and she said that it wouldnt accept it cos you can only ever oder 2 phones per visa aint heard that one before!
i will jus print out the page where it says 29.99 and go to cpw for a price match

Remember CPW will add a further £10.00 to the £29.99 price as they always include a top up on their PAYG phones.. Still a good bargain though!

Got a couple of these on this offer, one for me and one for Mum.

Gotta saya great little phone for the price. Great colour screen, like the loudspeaker function, nice n light, good ringtone choice and volume! Feels like it should cost twice as much.

Got mine unlocked and work a treat.
