Does anyone know if you can connect this phone to a PC for transferring (legally) free ringtones, games, etc.?

I’ve looked at several sites, including Nokia’s own, and whilst there does appear to be some kind of mini USB port on the bottom, it is unclear whether this allows you to transfer files. Indeed, their software (Nokia PC suite) and range of cables for sale do not seem to support this phone. I’m not sure if this is because it is a new phone, or if it is not possible to transfer files in this way.

MobiMB supports the 6030 for transfers of ringtones etc. This indicates that it can be done with the right cable. It may well be possible with the Nokia PC suite also.

As it's a new phone it may be a little while before shops stock the cable.

I've just called them (PrePay cust. services) to ask if they can refund the £10, they weren't having it, and the guy didn't seem very happy about me asking. I then told him I want to return the phone. There's usually a returns label included in the package but mine didn't come with one so I asked for the returns address. He said he didn't have the address so he put me through to a totally wrong department (Contracts cust. services). They then put me through to Sales!.

Then I called PrePay cust. services again and I said I want to return the phone (without mentioning the price decrease/refund) and the guy gave me the returns address straight away.

I later realised that the first guy in PrePay cust services was taking the !!!!!! and could have easily given me the returns address.

I'm going to return it today, it's a freepost address thankfully. I haven't decided whether I want another for £29.99 yet, I'm wondering if there's any issues with this phone for them to sell it so cheaply (in comparison with other shops).

If anyone needs the returns address let me know.

If anyone wants to get the phone quickly, take a print out of the page showing the price at £29.99 and go to your local Carphone Warehouse who will match the price of the phone so no need to hang about and wait.. This is within the terms and conditions of price matching in the Carphone Warehouse magazine.

I would like to point out that although they will match the price they do add a £10 top up to the phone which makes the price £39.99

I got the phone this afternoon and have to say i'm very pleased with it!

Thanks for that matrix999, though I won't be going for that personally as I don't plan to use o2, will be using my contract Orange SIM after I get it unlocked.

I've sent back my £39.99 one, and Ive just ordered another for £29.99. Silly O2, they should have just given me the £10 refund, would have been cheaper for them, now they have to pay for the freepost return, and the delivery of the new phone, and the admin involved! Doh!
