There are some purchases on there, they are 0% only until November. Hmmm.

  • Hey Southernbelle,

I just wanted to wish you good luck.

Your objectives are the same as mine - infact I thought my alter ego may have posted at first :rotfl: , I've already achieved the pay off the debts but I'm now sick of the renting thing and crave a place of my own.

Looking at you're SOA you have a good surplus every month to throw at you debts so I'm sure they'll be gone in no time and then roll on the deposit.

Any way, I just wanted to wish you Good luck and keep us posted.

Suppose it depends then on how quickly you'll be able to clear your card.

If there are always unexpected expenses - budget for them, budget for absolutly everything that might possibly come up - if there is anything left out of it at the end of the month then add that to what is your real surplas.

Not as quickly as November, but then when the 0% finishes I think it's still less than what I pay on the overdraft. I'll have to read through the small print again to make sure though.

The thing is they could be anything from £50-£500.

OK, have just taken photos of loads of stuff for ebay - even put together all my free samples from magazines etc, put together a load of half full perfumes, a load of half full body lotions etc - who knows, someone may want them, and even if they go for 99p it's 99p extra onto the debt

I think it's going to take most of the day to put them all on, think I should have a cup of tea before I attempt it ;)

you are spending £120 a month on food just for one. I spend £100-£110 for two adults a month and includes loo rolls and washing powder and cleaning items. That includes packed lunches.

Also what is a £150 a month on misc work for ?

That is the only two areas I can see that you might be able to trim back.

    Hi Calley.

The food charge is non-negotiable, as I live in work accomodation. The £150 is for my mess bill and other bits that always come up - trips, socials, that sort of thing - not usual optional.
