I've got to get out of this place

If I have to live with my parents any longer I think I am going to explode.

So here's the plan...
  1. Get debt free.
  2. Get a deposit.
  3. Get a flat.
I feel I need a new diary to give me some sort of focus. So, here it is. I will post up an accurate list of my debts later this evening as I always just guess and that's not much use.

I have just come back from a lovely holiday (paid for by my credit card  ) so am ready for a new start.

And I need to get a flat before I kill some of my family. :rotfl:

I reckon an up to date SOA is in order and do a snowball and save that, update it when you pay things off. Also, what about joining some challenges? We are about to start the may £10 a day challenge, and what about doing the ebay challenge?

Well good luck! I have a similar amount of debt from looking at your signature and I also want to move out of home. Race you to it :D
  • I will do an SOA if I can find a pay slip as it's all on there and they might be at work. If I don't have one here I am back at work Sunday :(

As you can see from my sig, I started the April challenge but was absolutely awful at it.

I am going to see how much I can get from ebay/play.com

I do use pigsback but the only way I can see to get money is to spend money...and I don't buy electricity or anything like that so no big bucks there.

I am also going to start with the reclaiming from HSBC to get in the queue. I tried before but got fobbed off with a letter but I'll be strong this time and follow it through :money:

Its a bit slow going with pigsback but check for click throughs and enter comps. I put "daily quizzes" into the search at the top and enter the comps, you will find klb or glyndwr will post a link with an answer, nice and easy (thank you both!) I have 730 pp so far and none of those are through buying, just clicks. Not won any comps but I live in hope lol.

I don't think there's anything I can cut down on, except maybe my mobile. By rights I should be out of debt really quickly, but there are always unexpec ted spendings, and me and the bloke don't see eachother very often, so when we do we tend to spend lots of money on meals etc.

  • I've just been playing with the Snowball calculator...do you think it would be sensible to transfer my Nat West balance onto my Mint card (balance transfers are 0% until June 2009) to avoid paying interest on my Nat West overdraft?

I would have to give my credit card to someone to stop me from spending on it and just use it as a 0% place.

  • Would anyone recommend putting all the debt onto my 0% card?

Is the amount that you already have on your Mint card from a balance transfer or purchases?

Only reason I ask is because on one of my cards that had purchases on it, if i then do a BT onto it, I then have to pay off that BT before it starts paying off the purchases.
