It's a great day for singing a song / It's a great day for moving along / It's a great day for morning to night / It's a great day for everybody's plight.

Your father pedals car telephones at a 300 percent markup. Your mother works on heavy commission at a camera store. Graduated to it from espresso machines. Hah!

Two weeks ago it was only 109 down there, so whilst it has increased it is a lot less than we have suffered.
Maxol increased from 92.9 to 97.9 on Monday.
  • Have heard there is a place somewhere up the Shankill Rd. selling it at around 0.75p , but thats as much as i know.

Interesting article on the news this morning with the AA claiming that many of the petrol stations in the Republic of Ireland are profiteering by overpricing their petrol by as much as 40cents per litre. I guess when you have a neighbouring country that charges much more then you can charge what you like

    Ivan,

The petrol stations near the border have been doing this for years but never realised it was by so much, if you are driving to Dublin it is sometimes worthwhile holding off until your are nearer there as the price can be cheaper...
  • The border petrol stations have always had their prices a cent or two higher than what it should be. Given that 60c out of every €1 of petrol goes back to the Irish government - an overcharge is understandable!

Can anyone give a current price for diesel further south? Yesterday - it was 1.14 euro per litre in Omeath.
