  • DO NOT GO FOR THIS!!!

As Lebowski25 notes above, this bloke is only offering a 'link' to a website where 'several' consoles are available. Basically, what you're paying for is a website address with no guarantee that you will even get a PSP!!!

    Never buy these 'links'.

Recently, I was after a new mobile phone - knew what make / model I wanted. Searched on Ebay & found a really cheap one - but it was a link to where you could buy one for a reduced price. By doing a bit of research on Google / Ask Jeeves etc, I found the link myself (FOR FREE) & got what I wanted!!!

Ebay should really stop these type of sales..... But I suppose if people buy them, Ebay are making money....

Joints, As others have said this is a link, you must read the auction before you bid. Also feedback is there for a reason always look at it before you buy, the two negs both mention that this chap is selling links.

No paypal would not have protected you in this case, you would have bought and paid for a link and received a link.

Can you not get a refund as it is an illegal item? If ebay were serious about not wanting these listings, that would be a very good way of stopping them.

I have to say that sometimes link sellers are useful to people who can't be bothered to do their own research. I have no problem with link sellers if they clearly state on the auction that it is for a link. IMO if people either don't read the auctions carefully or want to pay a stupid price for a link then thats their own fault when they get ripped off. The seller in this case didn't hide the fact that its a link in the jargon but clearly stated it.

Just looking again at the feedback the 2 negs went on today,so looks like the person who paid £115 was a genuine buyer. They obviously didn't read the listing properly. If it looks to good to be true it usually is.

As you've already said, it is your hard earned cash ebay/paypal won't protect you if it is faulty. You're better off pre-ordering from major outlet where you're normal statutory rights apply. As its a new gadget, there's bound to be some teething problems. Maybe after the Christmas rush, the price will drop off a little or better bundles can be had.

As much as I would like one, I'd rather wait and pay my money to someone I can go to when it goes wrong. If you also pay on a credit card, they too can also be held liable.
:idea:I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about:idea:
