Hi guys,
totting up to the nearest pound i`ve screwed it up again this month:o
I`m over budget by £30 so i am declaring £190 as my final figure for May  not as much as last month but still well over.
The rise in prices is having an effect so i am going to allow an extra £5 a week for June to see how i get on and it will also be a five week month for me so MrsM would you kindly put me down for £225 in June please thanks very much MrsM for keeping track of all this for us!
I have the world flour mountain in one of my cupboards as i`m only buying it when its cheap now, in MrM`s its different every week ranging from 48p to 78p so i always make sure i`ve plenty in for the weeks when its more expensive and don`t buy any, this week its back down to 48p again
MrSunnyday goes fishing and camps for a few days at a time now that the weathers better so it`s costing me a bit more for things to take with him that will keep and are easy to heat up, the good news is that i`ve got him on the cheaper stuff, when comparing brands to smart price etc and looking at the ingredients i`ve pointed out that the cheaper stuff tends to have less carp in, he`s been looking at the labels and is a bit shocked to find that cheaper is often healthier lol.
Hope you all do better than i have in May and the very best of luck for June peeps.

If you put your budget in red MrsM will add it to her list that goes on the first page of the month's challenge.
You can set up a signature to keep track of your spends on. Go onto where it says Quick Links (near the Log Out Button) and in the User Control Panel it says Edit Signature
Thank you so much for the signature information. i wondered how people did that and now I have had a go at doing my own. Probably got it wrong but at least i know where to go now.Challenge 2 adults food and household.

Good morning all, very excited as I have just worked out my spend for May-
would like to declare £153.49 !! :j That is despite all the extra visitiors due to illness then bereavment, and fund raising activities.
DH even said last night to put beef(won in meat raffle;) )in the freezer and we will have the chicken pie that I made out of freezer odds 'n' sods !! So much filling it made 2:rotfl: ,and 1 of the pastry parcels must have had cheese in,but it was good, glad it wasn't sugar, thought I had got better at labeling.
On top of all that I have lost about 4lbs,and am being told how well I look!!
Off on holiday next week with ALL the family,so that WILL be a challenge,as well as financially.
MRSMC please put me down for £200 for June.
Thanks all, great having the support(and bit of competition)
See you next month

Mrs M i'm declaring my May total at £374.20
GC budget for June will be £300 Thanks Mrs M.
I was way over my budget in may but in my defence it was a 5 week month, my budget was unrealistic and i have stocked piled quite a large array (ok a mountain) of non-perishables for the coming month
Had a Mr T delivery yesterday (got £12 MOC from the discounts thread for which i was very greatful, they are :A ) I bought loads of BOGOF's as they were all stuff we use, £12.45 in savings there so i was really chuffed at saving nearly £25 in total.
OH had to sign for the delivery as i had just nipped out when the van came (typical!) he was panicking a bit as he thought there musta been a muck up as there seemed to be 4 of everything! He asked if there was any particular reason i was buying in quadruplicate :rotfl: :rotfl:
Oh yes, several reasons
Sooooooo, June is a 4 week month for me and i am hoping to come in under my £300 budget this month. My T's delivery cost £82.10 in the end and i spent £12.87 on F&V in Lidls oh and the jumbo pack of loo roll (24 rolls for £6.45 thanks to whoever posted that, it might ave been Egon i cant remember now but thanks anyway :T ) Grand total spent so far £94.97.
DS is staying with his uncle for the whole of next week :j as he is doing work experience with him. I know it's not very motherly but i am sooooooo looking forward to the peace and quietIt'll be like a weeks hols for me & OH, no strops, no sour faces, no slamming doors, no early morning bad mood, no teenage hormones and no having to cook a seperate meal for him cos he wont eat proper food. I love him so much i just dont love this 'phase' we are going through
Anyhoo, best go get some brekki and a paracetamol. I ave a sore throat and feel a bit achey so i hope it dont come to nothing.
Good luck if you havent finished your GC yet and also if you have started your new one!
Take care

Arrived at the tills with the OH and noticed it was 9.30 in an Mr A store that closes at 10pm. Queues were long so left OH in the queue and mooched off to take a quick final peek at the chilled reduced. OMG got there jsut as the girl came out with about 9 big trays full of meet reduced to a maximum of £1. Needless to say our freezer is now full to bursting with the stuff and their 5p bread. I'm sure it's just beginners luck, but you guys just saved me about £100 already!! I would love to join you for June but we will be away for 1 week so I'll tally up June then join you in July if that's ok. Sorry for the long post, but I am just so excited to have found other people who like a bargain as much a I do :-)
thats great - well done!:T unfortunately I dont live near enough to a supermarket to get many whoopsied things but am always on the lookout for a bargain!:D
Off shopping this morning to get a few bits to last us till the end of the month. Am optimistic we will come in under budget unless DH goes wild in the supermarket:rolleyes:
Good luck all, will declare in a couple of days as my month runs till the last day of May.Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Hi Guys,
Feeling virtuous as have just written out the whole months meal plan so theoretically(probably spelt wrong) I should be able to complete the challenge on target. Veggies coming on nicely. Does anybody know if you can grow lettuce in small tubs? as I have run out of room in the garden?
Mrs Snowy - well done for keeping to target i must pick up some tips so i do better next month.
Candygirl - Yep I went over too this month so good luck next month
Le foot - welcome the guys are great here, don't be afraid to ask for advice I dont put my leisure in with the challenge but i do put down any alcohol for the home etc
BiggmummaF - thanks for the recipe sites will be baking more this month to cut down with the money spends

Cant remember if I posted!! Last month went a bit awry and ended up beig approx £110 (20-20 April-May) but part of ths was a panic buy for a no spend week so I have loads of food in! Will go for 80 this month (20 May -20 June) if thats ok. Keeping a spending diary and being better with keeping track so hopefully that will help being less vague! So far nowt spent this month as had loads in!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

Morning everyone.I'm sitting here waiting on an asda delivery.I've decided that as this food order is mainly for June I'm going to count it in the June challenge.Kids are off school this week and I knew I'd not have the chance to go to the shops to stock up for next month.
Therefore I'd like to declare £146.50 for May please.Ovebudget I know but I was being rediculously thinking I could live on that amount.
I'm sure I've already posted Junes budget but will again incase I haven't.
£200 for June Please.
Thankslost my way but now I'm back ! roll on 2013
