MRS M can you put me down as busted for my end of month figure. I have absolutely no idea what it is but I am 100% sure that it is well over my budget. Am off now to sort out meal plans and big online shop ready for june.Banana LoversBuy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning0 -

Decided to do a big shop yesterday and am now over budget by £15.00!!! and there is still a week to go-in my defence i have got loads of shopping and bought things like pasta-that will probably last me a couple of months. I bought a big box of washpowder that will last well over a month. Freezer is now full and I should only need to top up on stuff like fresh fruit, veg , bread and milk for a few weeks-unless I see some (too good to miss) bargains.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Morning- popped in to update siggie-- my May budget is running into June so should this be my June budget?? Maybe it should be my June on-- oooh decisions!
Anyway will keep track and hope Mrs M will point me in the direction of the correct month!!
Did well at Aldi's yesterday £47 including a pair of trousers for one of the lads for school-- and had two conversations about how fantastic the face cream was:rotfl:
Spent £8 in Poundland but that is stuff that will last for a while and help me in the general quest to waste less and save more!
Just need to get milk and oats now-- the oats mainly for the wonderful receipes that I am saving from here- and for bulking out the spag bol! :T
Wanted to say thank you again for how welcoming you all are and how many tips I have already picked up!!

Morning all!
Here's my weekly update; £19.74 (including £5.65 catfood - still cheaper to buy 2x6-pack rather than a 12-pack of Whiskas). There wasn't actually much food - going to friends for dinner tomorrow night so bought a nice bottle of wine to take (on special offer at £6.99, usually £13.99!).
My budget has to do next week's shop as well, but don't think it's going to be a problem :A Off to update siggy ...
Have a lovely weekend everyone.Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain ...0 -
Had my main monthly shop delivered last night, loads of basic stuff - although the price of the rice was a mega shock. Had I been instore I don't think I would have bought it, but unfortunately with online shopping you haven't much option. The white rice had doubled in price since I put it in my trolley, yet the brown had stayed the same. If I had been in the shop I would have bought brown not white. Too late now anyway.
I am well under budget with only a week to go. Am going camping this weekend and hopefully have all the food I need, may only need to buy bread, milk and bacon while I am there. Then I am off the rest of the week, so planning to do some cooking and maybe even some baking. That should make DS happy.0 -
