got a response back from the on-line message rejecting my complaint blaming quidco.
have sent HSBC a formal complaint using an adapted version of Milarky's letterYes Your Dukeiness0 -
same, will advise them that quidco is blaming them and in the interest of customer service they should resolve the issue with quidco
This is typical of Quidco, I completed the transaction with Churchill and forwarded all the information to Quidco as to why the transaction did not pay out, it tracked and validated and then disappeared from the screen. The car policy is in force and has been since December, the bland reply and closed from Quidco clearly shows they have not provided enough evidence to Churchill or Churchill are telling lies, I have written to Churchill and have forwarded Quidco's response, so shall see what happens.

Admin2008-03-28 17:58:49Thanks for submitting your enquiry. We're going to hold it on ice for two weeks just to make absolutely sure that it does not track in normally. If it does appear in your normal transaction list while in this status please mark this enquiry "Deleted"! The next status is called "Being Processed" which is when we take your enquiry off ice and review it to make sure you have the right info entered. When this happens we will send you another ticket update message.
Admin2008-04-12 09:08:50The status has changed from awaiting processing to being processed.
Admin2008-04-14 09:49:56Everything is green to go! Your enquiry is queued up and now we are waiting for the merchant or merchant representative to pick up this batch of Quidco member enquiries. Some batches are picked up weekly, others bi-weekly and others monthly so please be patient. However, be assured it will be picked up soon! You're on the way.
Admin2008-04-14 09:49:56The status has changed from being processed to ready to send.

Admin2008-04-30 16:20:44Hi Patrick, Unfortunately your transaction for Churchill Car Insurance as been declined. The reason for this is because the merchant tells us that no sale was made for this transaction. Kind regards, Quidco

Try again - but stress the cashback was offered through a referrer - not HSBC - and that the same offer has been running for some time and is still being offered by several different referrers (including Quidco) so that you don't accept that as an explanation of the mix up. Finally ask them for resolution and what steps you have to take in order to complain (which should set bells ringing hopefully).
BTW - I got my Quidco ticket updated to say HSBC will pay them (pheww!).....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -
nope they know its quidco "However, if you have obtained any information relating to this from Quidco please contact them for further clarification as we have not offered a cash-back on your account." tempted to show them that googling quidco hsbc online bonus saver brings up 4/5 websites inc this all advertising the offer before the date i got it! though theyre just going to reply saying they wont take into consideration 3rd party sites or other peoples accounts who got paid cashback
will contact quidco for the date the offer was introduced and then if they still dont listen make a formal complaint

You really need to resolve this with Quidco and not HSBC.
Quidco are responsible for tracking your transaction and paying you the money - HSBC will not know that you used a referrer.
Most cashback websites actually state 'Please do not contact the retailer directly'

I thought it worked through quidco passing the retailer a reference in the link - HSBC then confirm it, pay quidco, who then pay you
if HSBC say they will not pay quidco there is little point complaining to quidco - you need to complain to HSBC0
