Well done on having a plan:T it helps to concentrate the mind.

One word of advice, taken from what i've read on here in the past. If you get no joy from the agents then try the smaller ones. They're often found in backstreets and can be a little errm 'grotty' :rolleyes: but often have decent properties to rent and aren't quite so 'fussy'.

Coolio!! And since we've got two Universities close by, they are used to students, etc so that should help as well - I remember renting as a student and never having a penny to my name!!! Thanks!

Frustrated and a little angry, so excuse the rant :mad:

Since starting talking to H about this whole financial thing, I have practically lived on this forum and other places regarding BR (apologies to those who have had to put up with my constant questions )

He, on the other hand, never brings it up and seems to be constantly waiting for instruction from me on what to do next. I have sent him links to blogs, this forum and various other places so he can inform himself but he seems paralysed.

I know it's difficult, and we all react differently to these things but my neck is completely in knots and I'm not sleeping as my head is spinning with all the information I am trying to cram in.

AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I feel a bit better now for getting that out.

I wish i'd had someone like you trying to sort it all out for me

it took me two years from my original advice from the CCCS to go bankrupt to actually accept it'd got to that stage .. it is hard and even though the stigma is a lot less than it used to be it is still there and to find yourself in that position can be a very hard thing to swallow!

So know where you are coming from...my OH did`nt tell me until he could`nt pay anything anymore...then expected me to pay !! I think `paralysed` is a very apt description.

Can you get your OH to watch the Martin Lewis video on this site ? I only found it today & its 23 minutes of really motivational stuff. I can`t offer a link but sure someone else will soon. It seems to really put things into perspective...at least it did for me!

Blimey, been there!! The reason we remortgaged was because he finally told me he couldn't make either his share of the mortgage payment or the nursery fees - talk about a shock to the system :eek:

Will see if I can get him to watch it tomorrow. I want him to feel empowered, that we are doing something positive even in the depths of the stuff we're going through but I know he's not feeling that way. I also know I tend to take charge and am trying to stop myself doing that, but man it's hard :rolleyes:
