Can't believe I missed out on Cornwall and camping - just see what happens when you have a blow to the head and have to lie down for a while!

My niece is somewhere in Cornwall - a bit hazy about where as haven't visited her there - see her when she is back up in Cumbria with her parents. But really should make the trip - loved Cornwall as a kid and have a close friend at Uni who came from Falmouth and whose family used to send us emergency clotted cream parcels (in the days before every supermarket sold it :o .... mmmn showing my age now!)

And all this talk of camping makes me very nostalgic for our old camper - it was fab - but we couldn't afford 3 vehicles and it was too big to use as a day to day so we sold it - and I have regretted it ever since! :( It was old but went really well - as long as you didn't get stuck in traffic in hot weather! Then you really *had* to stop for a cuppa while it cooled off....

    Good evening!

I have discovered that I will be paid on "the last Friday of the month".....this is a bit of a pain, because the last Friday could be any time within a 7 day "window".......pain because I have a loan payment or two that comes out on 28th Month - so if payday is "after" 28th I need to make sure I have enough in the account for the loans, but if it is before 28th, I know it will be covered.

I know that in the long run, if I am not spending any extra from that account, that it should be ok, but it is just something else that I need to really concentrate on, because there is no overdraft facility on that account, so if the money is not there, they will not pay the loans.......

I think I need to have a "slush" fund building up so that I can sweep money over on 27th if needed and pay it back again on the last Friday of the month!

    Why is nothing ever simple!

The last friday of the month falls later than the 28th for:

    May
    August
    October

Bit of a pain this month being the first one.

I know - my last payday was the end of March - I was quite looking forward to having things back on an even keel at the end of this month - sadly it will have to wait another few weeks before I can feel comfortable that things are "settled"

Ah well, the path to being debt free doesn't run smoothly, does it!!

Hiya - would the loan companies let you change your payment date to the 1st of the month?
