Finances!!
Not at all. How many rags to riches stories are there?
If you have it easy, then you don't have that fire.
Your kids will do you proud Hypno - much prouder than if they'd been spoilt ever day of their lives."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I imagine my grocery bill a bit like a press, I like to squeeze it a little bit more every week. There's no way I could have cut from what I have now from what I had a year ago in one step
But you've been doing this for longer than me Hypno, how do you find more areas to squeeze? Weezl will have to look to her laurels. Maybe next year I'll be looking at recipes for slugs and roadkill0 -
Going back to PO, if it's made payable to you it'll have to go into the bank, otherwise just cash at PO. It can't bounce so no worries

Sorry about your daughter being ill Doodledoo - tonsilitis is miserable. Hope she feels better soon.

Don't joke! Our neighbour always is offering us bits of roadkill.

We live in the country so lots of roadkill - infact I am sure Jamie O himself came to the area and did a telly programme not so long ago about what to do with a roadkill deer..........
doodledo, I hope your DD is better soon - I have never had tonsillitis, but I do suffer with horrid and frequent earaches which are misery causing, so I sympathise on that level. Pass her on some dfw (((hugs))).
Thanks for the info on the postal order - yes it is payable to me, so straight in the bank it goes
Anotheror two
because it is my payday today :j So I can start to look at August's numbers with a little less stress...OH starts his new job in 2 weeks, and as yet I don't know what his pay date will be or anything.....and he still needs to find something to "top up" the income, but at the moment he has a stinking cold, so not much effort going on there, but I will let him off while he is coughing so much - he doesn't look or sound like an attractive proposition jobwise right now!!

OK -- a laugh for all of you -- wasn't sure what that word meant and couldn't find it in the dictionary...
suddenly the lightbulb went off & realized it's a sound effect!:rotfl:
Don't joke! Our neighbour always is offering us bits of roadkill.
OH's ex-boss was always bringing dead things he'd shot to work and offering them up -- now we both realized it's very DFW to take free food -- but in my book, it simply can't still have a head and legs and feathers or fur attached -- for those of us from the city, meat is meant to come cut up into chunks and packaged on styrofoam plates!
About a month ago we saw a dear by the side of the road on the way into town -- told him about it and within the hour he'd had a mate pick it up and take it to be butchered! -- then asked if we wanted some fresh venison!
Have a lovely day all & enjoy the summer warmth!

I adore venison0 -
I had a DF once upon a time (Dear Fiance) and one night we accidentally ran over a tiny little deer. He went to put it out of its misery, and when he mentioned it to his mum, she told him off for not putting it in the boot of the car. A guy who lived with us skinned a rabbit in the kitchen, and it was    I'm not even going to try to describe it. Gross is an understatement. I sat upstairs for about 3 hours.
:rotfl: with Peb and her knife and fork!2023: the year I get to buy a car0
