OH *knows* he has to get another job sorted, but as with many OHs on here, we are not seeing things with the same level of urgency as each other!!! Probably because I *do* the money things, and he relies on that. I do feel better after this morning's "chat" so we will see how things pan out.
And as for the place we have just been to......sigh.....dream........:oSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Sounds like you have had a lovely weekend - very relaxing.
Hoep the OH gets himself sorted soon. When my OH was out of work for a few months (pre LBM) he was very anxious to get himself sorted but didn't show or express his worries whereas I wanted to talk about it everyday almost - not very helpful in the long run. I am sure it will work out for you very soon.

I am in the process of reading Weezl's thread over on OS board - I have come to the conclusion that I need to get far more OS in my everyday life.......when I first started on the MSE trail, I was on OS as much as I was on DFW - filled my freezer with batch cooking, did storecupboard meals, and used nothing but stardrops for everything else.....plus....amazingly, my house was far less messy.....
......and of course all that has slipped - I spend too much on food, yet seem to have "nothing for dinner" all the time, I am disorganised, and the housework, well, hmm, no need to go any further into that debacle!!
So, I am getting new inspiration from OS again - and if I can re-learn how to feed a small army of hungry people on pence per day, and even better if I can regain control of the ever spiralling mountain of housework, I will be a very happy person.
So, I vote Pania as the person who can judge the levels of success, given that she visits the chaos that is my life regularly........I am setting myself a 30 day challenge.....meal plan......organisation.....get the house sorted.....etc etc and if it all works as well as my over-active brainstorming diagram is showing, then it will fit in well with the ebay/car boot challenge, and also with the matched betting etc challenge because I will be allocating specific time each day for all the moneymaking stuff.......
Wish me luck.....and see some of you over on OS!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Thanks hun! Although I am now debt free, I am still very *slightly* (cough cough!) addicted to setting myself financial aims and targets, and would never go back to the frivolous wasteful lifestyle that I used to lead before. I never dreamed I would be able to overpay my mortgage and save - it is the DFW principles that I have learnt that have enabled me to do it.
Speaking of OS, Weezl's thread is so inspiring isn't it - I am going to do a storecupboard challenge for June and see what I can concoctxx

Hi Hypno
I know your Legal & General has finally tracked so have you taken out and stopped the £50 per mth? I'm not sure whether to take out my money and stop the direct debit or not yet and I'm scared to look how much money it may have lost?

Edited to say I am talking about Quidco by the way.0 -
I'm going to read Weezl's thread as I need some inspiration but I find when I go OS with food my DS always says 'theres nothing in this house!' he means nothing to grab for a quick snack!!0

Hi, although L&G have tracked, they have not yet paid out - so I am waiting until they do before I decide one way or another.....however, I went through my SOA with my financial advisor (aka Pania) this morning and we agreed I should keep paying the £50 a month for the mo to try and build up some emergency savings. I don't have a credit card now, and have been unable to even get a vanquis card, so not likely to get anything "friendly" in the way of emergency money. So, if the boiler blows up, or the car breaks down, I have no way of sorting it out.....so the aim is to get a few hundred put away for emergencies..........Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Same here - although Weezl's thread is verging on extreme, it certainly highlights the fact that we can eat well for less, just by giving it a bit more thought and effort!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
